This video is not done in good faith and clearly has ulterior motive. Yes everything sinclair says should be taken with a grain of salt. Resveratrol is not a poison and you know this. The negative effects on anabolic activity and testosterone are a direct result of mTOR inhibition. All mTOR inhibiting molecules likely have this problem including rapamycin and metformin. There is data on this all over the place. The fact that you use the term "poison" is further indication of what you are attempting to do. There are many many many studies showing benefits of resveratrol in humans and animals. That isnt to say it extends lifespan per se, but there are definitely benefits. Why dont you just say you dont like David. It would be more intellectually honest

@davidasinclair @mkaeberlein @BKennedy_aging @PeterAttiaMD @jflier To be fair - GSK did their due diligence and consulted with some of the scientists mentioned in the video that had the data published especially on substrate specific binding and gave them warnings- yet GSK decided to move a long. Still a pattern.

Resveratrol reminds me of Bitcoin it’s in a class of compounds called polyphenols (eg., quercetin) where many are widely accepted by the longevity community it’s just when people hear the word “Resveratrol” they have a visceral negative reaction stemming from the Sinclair saga There’s a lesson here. Gotta separate the idea from the person

@davidasinclair @mkaeberlein @BKennedy_aging @PeterAttiaMD @jflier It was never going to be that simple. "Take this one magical ingredient and extend your lifespan". There are a few key things humans need, and when these needs are met we can set ourselves up for our best shot at longevity and health. Great Video.

@davidasinclair @mkaeberlein @BKennedy_aging @PeterAttiaMD @jflier Thanks for posting. It is so despairing to find that yet another person is exposed as just going after their piece of coin and notoriety. I will admit to being fooled, but it wasn’t Sinclair’s charisma, but the @Harvard brand that provided the ethos for the scam. Shameful on both

Like many other chemicals, the toxicity seem to be dose dependant, and I quote "At low concentrations, RE acts as an antioxidant which can protect from DNA damage and oxidative stress. On the other hand, at high concentrations, RE acts as a pro-oxidant promoting DNA damage while increasing oxidative stress"
