You can now use Blender Fasthenry to do PCB layout studies, calculate impedances of loops and return paths and determine how many vias you need! This demo shows how the impedance of DC decoupling capacitor is impacted by its distance from the IC, and the number of vias under the IC and near the capacitor. This is for a two-layer 1.6mm PCB at 1MHz.
