That's where the $PLTR partnership becomes important because software is what can turn a collection of drones, sensors and robots into a real operating system. The acquisition strategy is aggressive but this quarter made it look a lot more credible. Less like a roll-up and more like an emerging autonomous defense platform with real demand behind it.

Today, our young Engineers learned how to solder connections to DC motors and use the L298N motor driver to control the speed and direction of the motors. These motors will form part of the circuit for their self-balancing robot, where two wheels must constantly adjust their movement to keep the robot upright and stable. But this lesson goes far beyond building one robot. The same fundamental principles of motor control, feedback, and stabilization are applied in bipedal robots, smart drones, camera gimbal stabilization systems, and many other robotic systems. As they progress, the children will also learn how to use PID (Proportional–Integral-Derivative) control, an algorithm that allows a system to detect changes, calculate the necessary correction, and continuously adjust its response to maintain stability. So, they are not simply learning how to connect and drive a motor. They are beginning to understand some of the core engineering principles behind modern robotics and autonomous systems.

Today’s reel dives into the Boeing 737 horizontal stabilizer trim system. It’s a big one, hope you enjoy it! You guys liked the A321 version I posted, so here’s the 737 take: This system is cable-driven with electric motors, and you can manually trim using the trim wheels in case of failure. There’s a drum under the cockpit and another one on the actuator itself. Don't forget to close the handle on the control wheel if you're trimming electrically, it will hurt 🤣. Quite different from the Airbus family: while they also use cables, it's only for position feedback, movement is fully hydraulic via three systems. No hydraulics? No trim. 🇷🇺 Russia’s Yakovlev makes another fully domestic passenger plane, a Yakovlev MC-21. These planes were developed with many Russian parts pre 2022, but now Yak reworked the model and swapped everything for Russian parts. The aircraft had its imported components and systems replaced with Russian ones. The procedure of swapping every part of a plane for domestic components is extremely complex, as this has not been done before. Usually you iterate on a plane part by part, not doing such a big bang change. This procedure includes replacement of the cockpit controls, control system drives, wing mechanization movement system and stabilizer adjustment mechanism, avionics complex, integrated air conditioning system, integrated system for collecting, monitoring, processing, and recording flight information, wheel braking system, main and auxiliary power units, fuel system, wheels, tires, and more. The plant workers, together with specialists from the flight test and refinement complex of PJSC "Yakovlev," are checking the fuel system, start-up and operation of the auxiliary power unit and main engines, as well as testing of the aircraft's systems and equipment with the engines running. It would make sense for Cybercab to have Brembo’s Sensify Braking system, which is a fully software-controlled, fluid-free braking system. Brembo said they’re working with a “major undisclosed global manufacturer” entering series production in the hundreds of thousands. It could very well be Cybercab. Each wheel has its own dedicated electric actuator with redundancies. It would make sense for Cybercab, since the whole vehicle is being driven by AI already. The system offers higher efficiency and more control over brake operation. It is fully customizable and designed for autonomous vehicles as well. You can read more about it in the post below.

Take for example the 737, it’s more of a visual inspection, the more advanced aircraft have electrical signals that will send information to the flight deck that a tail strike has occurred. Let’s take for example the 777, some of them have a tail skid, but all of them have a tail strike sensor. To simply put it’s basically two little wires encased inside of a fin on the belly of the tail. If a tailstrike occurs, the fin Will break and open a circuit, sending this information to the flight deck. Overall tail strike incidents are very rare, because pilots train over and over to perfect their flying. That being said you also have aircraft computer systems to assist. But there are times where bad weather conditions will cause this occurrence, but once again the airplane can handle it. Not an ad

Vision is an absolute marvel of Divine Engineering. It requires a minimum of 3 systems working together from the start, or we don't see. 1. Eyes to capture light & convert into signals 2. Pathways to transport the signal 3. A brain to process it Evolution can't build it one step at a time, because there is no vision until all those systems exist and function together. Compounding the complexity further, each of those 3 systems themselves require a minimum number of more complex subsystems to function properly. For instance, all eyes require opsin proteins. Opsin is a highly complex protein that holds a special light-sensitive molecule called retinal; when a single photon hits the retinal, it instantly flips shape, triggering the opsin to change its 3D shape and trigger a precise cascade which converts the light into an electrical signal to be sent to the brain where it can be understood as vision. Opsin alone, is useless. It needs the retinal molecule plus the full cascade, or it does nothing. This is the case with ALL vision systems, confirmed over and over again the lab. No partially formed system produces any vision, or any other function for that matter. Many uninformed Evolutionists attempt to argue that we see different levels of complexity in vision systems, which they say is evidence that vision evolved gradually from simpler systems. But the evolutionary scientists themselves refute this. Even the very simplest possible system of vision - the infamous "light sensitive cell" - still relies on a similar highly complex, interconnected network of proteins and other molecules. Mainstream evolutionary science even teaches that vision systems evolved independently, from scratch, at least 40 different times. The reason is because many vision systems are so different, operating with such unique parts, that one simply could not have evolved from another. The fossil record itself refutes the concept of step by step construction of vision systems. Complex eyes appear early in the fossil record, fully formed & functional. There is no increasing complexity in the fossil record - it's a complete contradiction of evolutionary predictions. The vision system has all the Hallmark evidence of design. A complex, interconnected web of information processing systems with incomprehensibly precise timing & coordination between them all to produce a highly specialized function. The new MARS prosthesis control system uses special sensors and artificial intelligence to recognize muscle movements. The prosthesis can literally understand the user's intentions. This approach makes prosthesis control more natural, and in the future, opens up new opportunities for controlling technologies such as drones. The user will be able to control the drone by changing the position of the prosthesis in space and tensing different muscles. The principle is similar to a computer mouse: the hand movement controls the direction and angle of the drone, and muscle tension controls functions such as pressing buttons. In the Andante movement of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21, the "beauty" doesn't lie in a single note, nor in a single expressive moment. It stems from how the entire musical material is organized as a continuous process of tension and resolution, where each event is both the result of what has happened and the condition for what will come next. On the surface, listeners are easily captivated by the softness of the melody, the dialogue between the piano and the orchestra, or the subtle harmonic nuances. However, this is only the phenomenal level. The deeper level lies not in "what the music is," but in "the principles by which the music operates to create the sense of inevitable movement." In Mozart's thinking, no note exists independently. Each sound always carries the aftershock of the previous note and simultaneously creates a tendency towards the next note. It is this continuous movement between tension and release that makes music no longer a series of disconnected events, but a logical flow of movement, where every detail has a reason for existing within the whole. The tension-release mechanism in life Importantly, this mechanism is not unique to music, but reflects a broader structure in human experience. In social relationships, conflict creates an imbalance between people; the process of understanding and adjustment helps restore the stability of the relationship. In biology, the body reacts to threat with a state of tension, and returns to equilibrium when the threat is removed. In psychology, the state of expectation creates mild tension, and completion brings a feeling of relief. At every level, the same pattern can be seen: an unstable state is moved towards a stable state. However, it is important not to understand music as a “simulation of life,” but rather that both music and life can be described by the same principle of organizing experience. Music: where mechanism is refined into structure In classical music, especially in Mozart's compositional thinking, the tension-release mechanism is transformed into a clearly structured language. An unstable note creates a tendency toward a stable note. A chromatic movement creates a sense of deviance from the center. An appoggiatura creates a sense of delay. A modulation to a minor key expands the instability of the entire structure. All these elements do not exist in isolation, but are organized into multi-layered tension-release cycles: microscopic in each note, mesoscopic in each phrase, and macroscopic in the entire structure of the musical movement. The key point is: Mozart did not use these mechanisms to create surprise effects, but to create the feeling that every movement is inherently necessary. This is what creates the seamless and natural flow of the music. Therefore, the beauty in Andante does not lie in a single element, nor in a single compositional technique, but in the tension-release mechanism being organized into a unified system throughout multiple levels of musical structure. At the detailed level, it is present in the relationship between notes and harmonic movement. At the intermediate level, it shapes the structure of each musical phrase. At the overall level, it governs the entire progression of the movement as a unified moving whole. Mozart did not create beauty by eliminating tension, but by organizing unstable states so that they continuously facilitate, guide, and transform into more stable states, thereby forming a dynamic balance throughout the entire musical structure. When these three levels operate simultaneously, the listener no longer perceives "artificiality," but experiences a seemingly natural and continuous flow of movement. It runs in real time at up to 15,000 FPS with just 2ms latency. Navigation, object interaction, sitting, jumping, obstacle crossing, and even different movement styles can be composed zero-shot, like reusable motion modules. It is already being used for whole-body control on the Unitree G1 and serves as the motion layer for NVIDIA GR00T Whole-Body Control. What makes this interesting is the move from training individual behaviors toward building a shared library of motion capabilities.
