The governing bodies are completely missing the point with the golf ball rollback.

@Daniel_Rapaport Finally a good take 💯

@Daniel_Rapaport Maybe we should raise basketball hoops to 12 feet too so less people can dunk. 🙄

The rollback is at most 5% on a well-struck, compressed shot. It's a shot most slicers rarely hit. The rollback will affect elite players. Most amateurs will barely notice a difference; if they do, they can move up a set of tees.

@Daniel_Rapaport @Daniel_Rapaport you just don’t get it dude. We’re running out of land and the pros can’t play the classic courses anymore. These driver-wedge contests at TPC bunghole aren’t interesting. And for amateurs, the solution is easy. Move up a tee box or two!

@Daniel_Rapaport Amateurs will hate this. I’m 66. I don’t hit it near as far as I used to. Will be a big reason to play less.

@Daniel_Rapaport Well said. 💯 This will affect the 50 and up crowd more than others. Already losing distance now let's take some more away from u..

@Daniel_Rapaport Rollback for everyone doesn't change anything about the game. Move up a tee if you're worried about your distance.

@Daniel_Rapaport Can we get a full on debate of @NoLayingUp or @TronCarterNLU vs @Daniel_Rapaport on the roll back? I’d pay many $’s

@Daniel_Rapaport 100% agree. The R&A and USGA want to change the golf ball because less than 1% of the players hit the ball too far to play on golf courses that most amateur players aren’t allowed to play on. All the elite players don’t pay for golf balls or even greens fees.

@Daniel_Rapaport Spoken like a true Taylormade rep
