Grok in Tesla does English-Spanish translation with a couple of Uber passengers. I love Grok in Tesla! This is now one of the best parts of owning my Tesla. My car not only talks with me, but it talks to my Uber customers as well, in their own mother language. There are still a few quirks with Grok in Tesla, possibly due to there being no microphone for passengers in the back seat, so Grok may cut off and interrupt passengers mid-sentence sometimes, but I have noticed that even this is getting better week-to-week. But overall, Grok in Tesla is an absolute game changer and is making new fans of Tesla from people that have never been in one until getting into the back of mine.

Fog + Rain + Salt = Probably one of the most challenging conditions for Tesla's vision-only system. Now while I think there are still some advancements needed to make this much better (i.e. self-cleaning lenses) I have to tip my hat to the Tesla AI team for enabling the car to get through this mess and a major improvement over 2.2.1 with these same conditions. I genuinely feel bad for anyone who hasn’t experienced Tesla FSD yet… Bc once you do, road trips are never the same. Instead of spending every second of a long drive focused on the repetitive parts of driving, I can actually take in the world around me. It’s completely changed the way I experience the journey. Tesla FSD is truly a steal at $99 per month, this technology is priceless.

Elon Musk in a new interview this morning on Tesla FSD: "In terms of having self-driving be ubiquitous, I think we’re making steady progress. The Tesla Full Self-Driving software, which is really just AI and cameras, we don’t use radars or LIDAR or anything like that. It’s really trying to drive the car in the same way that a human drives the car, primarily with vision and with a biological neural net. We take the same approach with our vehicles, which is a digital neural net and cameras. I expect this approach to ultimately be at least an order of magnitude safer than humans driving. It is quite magical because the car feels like it is sentient. It actually feels like it’s alive and you can actually, as we improve the software, feel the sentience growing in the car. We already have some vehicles operating with no people inside with no safety monitors in three cities in Texas and probably will be widespread in the US by the end of this year and hopefully in Israel too" Tesla FSD is beginning to feel more and more sentient with each update, it’s incredible.
