The Gulf States’ Fatal Mistake

What a stupid statement by an unanimous individual! Though some of the gulf states host US military bases, yet non of which allowed nor authorized the use of these bases nor its aerospace to attack Iran! Saudi Arabia for example doesn’t host any American military bases, yet it’s being attacked by the Iranians. On the other hand, claiming that (being a friend with the US is fatal) is another level of stupidity! Systems do not select their friends based on “who my neighbor is?”. If my neighbor doesn’t like my friends, he can simply cut-ties, not attacking me. Stop normalizing stupidity folks!

Does Jeffrey NOT know that ALL the Gulf states tried to stop this war ? Does he know they WERE siding with Iran on this ? Now, why does Jeffrey NOT say the same thing about the US bases surrounding Iran OTHER than the Gulf states ? Azerbaijan, Turkey, Pakistan .. ? We’d like an Explanation for this.

Did you know that the United States has 128 military bases outside its territory, and 750 facilities across more than 80 countries around the world? And did you know that agreements between states are sovereign arrangements based on mutual interests, and that Iran, or anyone else, has no right to dictate to the Gulf states how they manage their sovereignty, partnerships, or national interests? From the very beginning of the crisis, the Gulf states were clear in their position: they preferred de-escalation, called for negotiations and peaceful solutions, and even played the role of mediator between Iran and the United States. They also provided assurances that their territories and military bases would not be used in any offensive action against Iran. For that exact reason, the United States had to reinforce its naval presence in the region, because it was not relying on those bases to carry out its attack. But after the American-Israeli attack on Iran, Tehran chose the easier path, because it knows it cannot confront the United States directly and does not have the ability to reach it. So it turned to targeting its neighbors and pressuring them, despite fully knowing that the Gulf states were not a party to the attack and that the bases on their soil were not used against it. The clear truth here is that the Gulf states are the aggrieved party, not the aggressor. They did not make a mistake in this crisis; rather, they acted with responsibility and a high degree of wisdom, and maintained restraint, even as the Iranian aggressor chose to transfer its crisis to its Gulf neighborhood and threaten the security of states that did not initiate any aggression against it. Even in the face of this aggression, the Gulf states continue to show wisdom and deal rationally with this terrorist Iranian neighbor, placing the stability of the region above the logic of anger and escalation.

That’s not true. Iran is hitting civilian areas in The UAE (Marina, Jebel Ali, Umm Suqaim and others). US airbases in the Gulf are empty and they haven’t been used to strike Iran. The US is hitting Iran from aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
