Another fun aspect of I35 is that it splits before Dallas and Ft Worth so you have 35E and 35W. They're both horrifying. Double trouble.

Everything he has said is true . Can confirm.

This has been going for about 30 years on I-35! Welcome to Texas! 😂

Your videos make this platform more bearable. Well done, sir. "A pit of gravel and broken dreams."

😂😂😂😂😂😂 If you have ever been on 35 you know this is true This guy is hilarious His riff on H‑E‑B is phenomenal

Hilarious & only slightly exaggerated! I've been driving up & down I-35 for 50 yrs & one should expect a complete German Autobaun level of Hwy perfection from Laredo to the Red River by now. But, no! They just keep working the same small stretch for 5 yrs before moving to the next.

Pure genius. Someday you gotta visit Boston. It's all of the above, but with the addition of snow, ice, and no blinkahs. 😂

I avoid I-35 at all costs. You’re not wrong. It’s been under construction since I was a kid in the 80’s. Same goes for 1604 in San Antonio and I-10.

Oh my French friend. It gets worse. Souce: currently on 35, bucc-ees give me strength!

Try the I-35 through Minneapolis. The only time theyre not working on it is when t's frozen, there's no Bucc-ee's, and it hates you and your entire bloodline.

funny 🤠 but why use I-35.... avoid it and use toll Road 130 💰💰 it is ALMOST like the "Autobahn"

Tactical assault on my nervous system, l o l

It's even worse because nobody out here in TX understands that the left lane is for passing. So We'll have grandma doing 55 in the left lane while Hunter in his lifted dualie F-450 is doing 95 weaving through every other traffic like the freeway is a power loom.

100% correct! My son and I call it the demon freeway

3 months back, I had a blowout on I-35, I had to change the rear left tire on a Ford Excursion with cars and semi tractors driving by ,within inches, at 80mph. It was a very near death experience, multiple times, for 38 minutes. I’d had it done faster if the wheel hadn’t been seized to the hub. No one honked though, so I was happy 😃

Trés bien, mon ami! Between this realization, and your acceptance of HEB as your Lord and Buc-ee's as your Savior, you are truly a Texan!

I dub you an honorary Texan. Spot On!

@EvilMopacATX He totally understands. Get this man working for DOT.

You definitely get it.

It’s not the food that will kill you here, it’s the blood pressure from driving on a highway full of maniacs ranging from Nazi’s in Cybertrucks to a guy in a 1966 pickup with the truck bed hanging off loaded up with mattresses and someone’s entire home. Perhaps a chair flies off.

Yeeeessssssss- best one yet! This is why I DO NOT DRIVE TO DALLAS, and it's taken decades to build up my thunderdome persona just for the ride between Austin and SA.

@SeanTrende Fun fact, I-35 is part of the Panamanian Highway from Canada to Tierra del Fuego

@MattWelch Wait— that fucking curve at Temple still isn’t finished? I lived there 12 years ago…

FACT: Freshly paved asphalt roads getting immediately dug back up is NO LIE.

We've got one of those... I-77 through Statesville, NC. If the tractor-trailers don't kill you, the NASCAR drivers doing 110 to get to the private airport, through the perpetual construction zone, will. And the pickup trucks... even faster than the NASCAR drivers.

Get out of Austin. Find yourself a small, rural town away from big cities. There you will find the true Texans.

I hate IH-35 with every fiber of my being. When I drove between Fort Worth and Austin, I took 183 to 281 to 67. It took a little longer, but it was WAY more scenic (esp beautiful Hamilton TX), but saved on my blood pressure and life expectancy as well.

EVERY. WORD. TRUE. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I REFUSE to take 35 unless it is unavoidable 😭 fucking spot on video. 35 gives @EvilMopacATX a run for its money

Given all the prosperity gospel going around lately, Buc-ee is a better choice.

As a Texan, this is the most accurate characterization of I-35 I’ve ever heard in my life

@RantyAmyCurtis All hail the great Buc-cees.

This is drop-dead funny. Every road construction feels like this. Every single one. Bravo on capturing highway fear/dread/angst/humor

@SeanTrende He ain’t wrong.
