🇪🇺 The IRIS program is Europe's replacement for Starlink. The constellation will consist of over 300 satellites to serve Europe alone. Security and sovereignty! Like Galileo, it could surpass its US counterpart. Fewer satellites, smarter coverage. Eventually more could be added

EU should accelerate this program. Fast and reliable communications that are uninterruptable is essential for the overall security of Europe.

👍 I agree

Starlink and all US tech will pay the price. I mean who is going to invest or rely on US tech when it can be withdrawn on a whim by Musk or Trump etc? I don't think the MAGAs realise the long-term consequences of their actions on the reputation of America. It will cost them.

Paper is patient. Having something up and running is what makes the difference.

It will run and likely better than the American system, even in Europe's current reduced state! Imagine what a more federal Europe would do

Elevate your drone game with our USA-made, NDAA-compliant flight controllers! Trust in reliable technology that not only enhances your flights but also supports US drone manufacturing capability. 🇺🇸✈️ #USAMade #NDAA #drones #uav #uas #px4 #ardupilot #USA #unmanned #opensource

Who's paying for it?

Accelerate this program! No reliance on the USA or disturbed evil N#zi Biljonaires on any of our critical infrastructure. Like russia they will blackmail us!

Europe as a whole launched 3 rockets last year. You’d need to launch at double that rate for 50 years to get the constellation together, all the while replacing dead satellites too. This is a pipe dream and no Europeans want it when they have a better, cheaper system already.

How are you putting those satellites into orbit?

With Ariane-64 rockets 🚀🇪🇺. They are capable of batch deployment (50 to 70 satellites per launch)
