I got hired at the Cheesecake Factory and opening was 6 days away. I had to pass their food test and get a 90% or better. I studied several days to get the job at home and with other new hires. It was worth the investment, I made a lot of money there!

Every good job I have had in life required me to learn things outside of work. Some jobs I would come home from, eat dinner and go back to working on things until bedtime. Get up and do it all over again. Imagine if you lived out in the middle of nowhere and you had to grow your own food and hunt for your own meat or maybe have some animals you bred for food. Then you need to have a water supply and dig your own well or setup rain collection systems on your own. So, tell us, would that be a 9-5 job or just life?
