Russian cities of Smolensk and Sochi now also experience fuel-supply disruptions and queues at petrol stations. The situation is still far from the peak of Russia’s fuel crisis around six weeks ago, but local shortages are beginning to reappear across different regions. This comes despite Moscow’s plans to import up to 400,000 tonnes of petrol per month.
