The method for bypassing the mandatory Microsoft Account requirement in the OOBE for Windows 11 Home and Pro with the command "oobe\bypassnro", no longer works anymore. 😔

So an update seems like you have to make sure that you have to entirely disconnect it from the internet for the bypassnro trick to actually work. Wouldn't be surprised if it somehow gets patched out in the future. Personally would recommend Enterprise edition (especially LTSC).

It upsets me that nobody seems to know that creating installation media using Rufus removes all of this bullshit before installation even begins.

They're really working hard to make Win10 the "Last version of Windows you'll ever need", aren't they.

On pro you could always just, through sign-in options, use "domain join instead", which allowed local accounts.

It's always the same with @Microsoft products. Always trying to force you to do stuff you don't want to do.

I personally made a provisioning package with Windows Configuration Designer that is intercepting the OOBE, creates a local account and presents the Desktop. I have it on a stick, plug it and it is done.
