Your conterpart in UK installed 320 rapid charger last month & 250 most months but not even 250 nonTesla CCS fast chargers in total in Ireland & ESB installing multiple hubs in UK but just 2 ESB hubs in Ire 220km trip Galway to Kerry has just 50kW DC charger in Ennis & NewCastleWest. Others well off route in Shannon airport & BallySimon,Limerick. Cork to Limerick has no esb fast chargers & just 3 50kW provided by Lidl & Supervalue when their shops open. There are already 70k BEV on roads so plan already well out of date even if implemented. AFIF just funded 12k rapid chargers in last round around EU but Ireland missed out again. Esbn insistance of meter per lampost charger has stopped their expansion & just used to stymie outside competition. Thousands exist in other countries which allow EV owners who cannot install homechargers charger their EV overnight. Their absense blocking thousands from purchasing EVs in Ire. @CiaranCuffe @GraceOSllvn @IEVAsso @logical_conor

#WATCH | Delhi CM Rekha Gupta says, "This is truly a historic day. Delhi EV Policy, which we aim to implement starting July 1, 2026. Following the LG's approval, the policy will remain in effect until March 31, 2030. It focuses entirely on electric vehicles—specifically zero-emission vehicles—with the ultimate goal of gradually transforming Delhi into a pollution-free city for the benefit of its residents. We have devised a comprehensive plan to execute this in phases over the next four years. I would like to highlight that the policy entails an expenditure of ₹7,000 crore over these four years alone. Additionally, we are investing ₹8,000 crore in creating EV infrastructure and waiving road taxes year-on-year; in total, we estimate that the people of Delhi will receive benefits worth approximately ₹15,000 crore through this policy. The measures include purchase incentives, scrapping incentives, the creation of charging infrastructure, and exemptions on road tax and registration fees. This scheme will be highly beneficial for the general public, as we have endeavoured to bridge the price gap between electric vehicles and conventional vehicles through these subsidies. I believe Delhi is the only state in the country launching such a massive EV policy framework; it not only involves an outlay of ₹15,000 crore but also adopts an uncapped, phased approach regarding vehicle numbers—meaning we will incentivise and support the adoption of as many vehicles as the public chooses to purchase. We have not imposed any kind of cap over these four years. We have included two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, N1 trucks, and 'Gramin Seva' vehicles in this policy...Following the Cabinet's approval, it will be sent to the Lieutenant Governor today. Once implemented from July 1st, every resident of Delhi will be able to avail the benefits of this policy."
