BSWML was the correct direction. Taking garbage collection away from BSWML and giving it back to contractor mafia is a disservice to Bengaluru. BSWML should be empowered and eventually 2-3 large companies could have also taken over. Your action promotes corruption.

In 2008, i walked almost the entire stretch of MG Road looking for a trash can to dispose a banana peel. Couldn’t find one. Had to take it back to the office to dispose it off. I was then told that it wasn’t there because it might get stolen…

It should reach a point where every house in the city should know the exact waste pickup schedule, where to keep waste, and how often collectors will come. Once this system is robust, proper fines and penalties can be imposed to teach people a little civic sense.

Sir, please enforce garbage segregation at source and all non recyclable waste should go to waste to energy processing plants instead of dumping in landfills.

Is the garbage problem solved? It would be good if the Minister travels through out the city - one can see garbage everywhere. Gone are the days when one could fool the public. With social media, the truth is out even before you finish saying the sentence.

Collecting waste is one issue, there is another - no waste management system, we need waste to energy plants so that garbage mountains don’t get created !! And lnstall dustbins across the city so that there is a place to throw waste ! Right now anyplace is a dustbin - there is no designated spot in many areas

Impose fines on whoever litters, trashes public places. Imposing fines is the only way to control this littering menace in India otherwise it's not possible to control such a huge population with zero civic sense. #cfbr
