Monkeys destroying crops and liveihood of farmers in Vikarabad Dist. I raised this issue today in the Parliament. It turns out that it is a problem not only in Telangana, but in many states. Many MPs cutting across party lines not only agreed, but supported me on this issue. No single department or ministry takes the responsibility of this problem. There is a need of a nodal ministry and a national guideline to tackle this problem. Each state addresses the problem in a different way & some states do not even do anything and leave the farmers to fend for themselves. When the Cenk Uygur falsely claimed on Al Arabiya that the reason there’s war is “occupation” and that there would be “peace with the Arab states if there were no occupation” I had to set him straight. The war isn’t even with the Arab world…the war is with the Islamic regime in Iran, (which isn’t Arab). Furthermore, long before any “occupation,” Palestinian terrorists and Arab states were hell bent on destroying the state of Israel, *instead* of establishing a Palestinian state. Rejection of the right of Israel to exist, whether from the Islamic regime in Iran or Palestinian leadership — that is the root of the problem.
