The problem with always being “a good guy” on principle is, as Machiavelli says, ours is a world of too many bad guys Horrific injustices occur and you hear monstrous nonsense like: —“Don’t stoop to their level” —“If you do that then you’re no better than them” My response:

The brilliance of this deeply philosophical scene is gleaned from how quickly the smug condescension of those who happily celebrate the death of everything you love turns into quivering fear in the moment they discover reality entails consequences. The body language says it all

Executing kids is probably bad though

Yes, but — their father should have thought about that before executing Alejandro’s wife and daughter. Such consequences are included in the “finding out” part of “fucking around”

I call it Batman syndrome. These dweebs are suffused with comic book morality. "But if we kill the Joker we're just as bad as him!!! We need to lock him up again and again no matter how many times he escapes and kills 50 more people while doing so!!" Incoherent, no morals

There is no hope for a lot of Gen Z guys. If a girl rejecting you with something like “Aren’t you too old?” is now ‘shaming’, Gen Z is COOKED ♨️ Let me tell you something: women have been telling guys they are “too old”, “too short”, “too poor”, etc., since TIME IMMEMORIAL. The reason women give you for rejecting you has nothing to do with the actual reason they’re rejecting you. It is also not solely or principally due to “not finding you physically attractive”, like this guy seems to think. Here is a brief list of reasons women may give you for rejecting you: • You’re too young • You’re too old • You’re too short • You’re too tall • They don’t know you • They don’t date your race guys • They prefer to date guys from their country • They’re not looking to date right now • They don’t feel like you’re their type These reasons are completely irrelevant and women constantly violate their own rules. She rejects you for being too short, then you catch her hooking up with a guy shorter than you. She rejects you for being too young, then you see her playing cougar to a guy 3 years younger than you. She rejects you for being too old, then you find out she’s dating a dude 8 years older than you. You can either take this stuff to heart and let it BREAK you, and go cry on the Internet about “being shamed”, and get into a circle-jerk with a bunch of other dudes in the Internet safe space who jerk you off and talk about how “it’s so hard out here with these girls, all shaming you”, or you can suck it up, get a little testosterone flowing through your nads, and do better. Let me tell you something else: All those ‘rejection’ reasons are actually TESTS. If you handle them appropriately, you can still get the girl. When a girl says, “Aren’t you too old?” and you say, “No, I’m exactly the right age. How old are YOU?” you take control of the frame. If you CONTINUE to keep control of the frame, she becomes attracted. That’s how attraction works: It is not due to some facile calculation in her brain of “he is insufficiently looksmaxxed therefore RULED OUT!” Instead, the calculation in her brain is saying, “Hmm, he doesn’t look like the kinds of guys I’m accustomed to. Let’s see what he’s got!” So, she tests you. You either own the test and get the girl, or you fold up, talk about being “shamed”, and go cry on the Internet. So here is some advice: 1️⃣ Stop being a pussy who talks about ‘being shamed’ (i.e., estrogenmaxxing) 2️⃣ Learn a little FRAME CONTROL and learn how to LEAD (i.e., testosteronemaxxing) 3️⃣ Start getting those girls who push back on you rather than slinking off in utter defeat The first time you take some girl trying to test you and turn her into date or lay, you will have unlocked a whole new world for yourself… one in which, rather than crumple anytime anyone gives you any resistance, you learn how to take what you want from life. Godspeed!

Peter Thiel explains his principle of only working on problems that wouldn’t get solved without you Thiel shares that he’s “a little bit skeptical” of social entrepreneurship: “Social entrepreneurship is always ambiguous because it’s unclear what the word ‘social’ means. Social can mean that it’s ‘good for society’ or it can mean that it’s ‘good as seen by society’. In the second meaning, you often end up with something that many people are doing.” He gives education startups as an example of a social startup - it’s seen as objectively good and lots of people are working on it. Thiel contrasts this to a mission-oriented company: “A mission-oriented company is one where if you didn’t work on this problem, nobody would.” He gives the example of Elon Musk starting SpaceX with the mission of going to Mars and making humans interplanetary. If Elon wasn’t working on it, this problem might not get solved. Thiel believes this is an important principle in general: “We always want to do things where… if you weren’t working on it, it wouldn’t get solved. Always go for that sort of counterfactual meaning. You don’t want to ever be in a place where you’re just one of a hundred cogs in the machine… You want to be in a place where you’re doing something that can’t be easily replicated or replaced - either on an individual level or the level of a company.” Video source: The Wharton School (2014)
