The reason Mayor Brandon Johnson routinely engages in race-baiting and gets away with advancing the "zip-tie" canard is because no one in Chicago's fawning press corps has either the desire or spine to confront him over his fictions. Worse, Johnson actually promotes his ugliness on his social media accounts.

Johnson then added: "Prosecuting and incarcerating is “racist, immoral, and unholy.” While declaring Chicago's criminal-justice system is hopelessly and intractably racist, Johnson ignored the fact an overwhelming majority of murder victims in Chicago are minorities.

Law enforcement morale is low and crime rates are sky high. This is unacceptable. Mayor Brandon Johnson must prioritize his citizens over illegal immigrants.

Yesterday, Heather Cherone gave Mayor Brandon Johnson a handy assist to state his case against ShotSpotter. Johnson opened his press conference by citing and praising left wing UChicago Justice Project’s report that claimed police response time on South and West Sides improved after ShotSpotter was disconnected. Right on cue, Heather Cherone asked Johnson his reaction to the report at his press conference, allowing Johnson to compliment UChicago Justice Project and, of course, thank Cherone her coverage of the story. Maybe Cherone should ask Johnson why Chicago spends $30M on the Mayor’s 150-man police officer detail, three times what was spent on ShotSpotter.

Yesterday, Mayor Brandon Johnson Brandon Johnson angrily lashed out at "evil-spirited" Greg Abbott for busing migrants to Chicago without "proper notice" and that it is "racist" to send migrants to cities run by black, Democrat mayors. He also laid out his dubious reparations plan to reduce Chicago's violent crime rate. Like Mayor Lightfoot before him, Johnson appears to use race to deflect blame and attention away from his policy shortcomings. Chicago residents tell me that they don't want anymore excuses, or social engineering. They want real solutions to the violent crime rate and they want the millions in taxpayer dollars that have been misused on migrant vendor management companies and landlords to be returned to resident homeless, elderly and poor communities throughout Chicagoland. Seems like common sense but Johnson doesn't appear to see it that way. Watch. #thatreporter

Watch as Francis Shigley' press aide demands reporters ask "on topic" questions only. The Q&A this morning lasted less than two minutes. After each question is asked, a City Hall press aide steps in to reprimand reporters, insisting "on topic" questions be asked. Johnson has the most obliging press corps in the country, and he still refuses to answer questions with which he is uncomfortable. Though it is his job to respond, Johnson becomes visibly agitated and abruptly walks away. Johnson is such a pathetic, pusillanimous coward.
