Craziest things I learned today: 1. The sun is 93 million miles away 2. When you see the sun, you see it ∼8 minutes in the past due to the delay in the speed of light.

The galaxy is big, all right. Yet it is MUCH older than it is big: there's been time to cross it many many times.

Just goes to show how mind bogglingly vast the universe is

Looks like we need to bend space and time. Light just isn't fast enough to explore the universe.

Crazy how light is the fastest thing in the universe yet it moves so slowly in the grand scheme of things.

There's got to be some type of portal.

But ...

If the sun goes out we will have roughly 8 minutes before chaos?

I give you the Phoenix A: "a circumference that would take 71 days and 14 hours to travel at light speed"
