I had to put this all in one video to make it even clearer — The NBA has an OKC Thunder problem. The fans know it, broadcasters know it. THEY know they’re favored. When EVERYONE complains about ONE team, it’s serious. It’s not just SGA, he’s just the head of the snake. I’m not a “blame the refs” type, never have been. I actually hate when players focus too much on that. But this just makes for an unbearable product. The Thunder are EXTREMELY good. They don’t need extra help. They don’t need to be rewarded for their antics. A lot of it is an affront to the game. The physicality they play with needs to be allowed both ways or not at all. This is all from one game, but it’s every night against them. It looks and feels blatant. This isn’t basketball. The NBA needs to fix this.

🚨POTENTIAL APPEAL ALERT🚨 This is from today's Philadelphia Phillies at Washington Nationals game, and the scorer is going with above ordinary effort for this ball hit to Trea Turner. Watching this play, Turner slides and comes up with it and rushes the throw, but the question is, did he have to rush it? Andres Chapparo got down the line in 4.96 seconds, which for him is fast, but overall, is NOT fast as all. Here is what the manual says about a misplay due to rushing. "If a fielder fails to make an otherwise ordinary play because he rushes unnecessarily, the Official Scorer must determine whether the fielder should have realized he did not have to rush. If the Official Scorer believes the fielder should have realized he did not have to rush, the play should be scored an error. If the Official Scorer believes it would have been difficult for the fielder to know how much time he had given the nature of the play, then no error should be charged." I think Turner knows who is running, because he felt comforatable lobbing the ball off his back foot, but he, IMO, had time, so I have this as an error. This does not mean we should copy and paste Argentinian culture into every training environment, because culture cannot just be copied. But the values within that culture can be inculcated in every training environment. The value of the ball. The courage to receive it in small spaces. The ability to protect it under pressure. The confidence to keep playing after a mistake. The willingness to play with the possibility of losing rather than constantly trying to avoid it. Those values can become part of the environment we create every day. They can be present in the games we design, in what we praise, in what we allow players to struggle with, and in how we respond when they lose the ball. If every mistake leads to the coach stopping the session, giving the answer, or taking the pressure away, then players never learn to play with that pressure. They learn to wait for the coach. It was cool to see how two managers, at such a big stage, reference culture and the environments that kids play in when they’re young. I've seen a lot of comments about this so I'll address it here. I will talk about it more in detail in tomorrows YT video. Context: Deciding 3rd game of a #NHL24WC qualifier playoff series. I enter the zone with 4 minutes to go in game which is a bit over minute in real time. I know Lauri Enström is playing protect net collapsing like he has the whole series. Like I always do in tournament games with this little time on the clock I start circling and killing time, seeing if Sopuli overcommits or something opens up, like I always do at the end of tournament games when I'm leading. Around a minute left in game I get full pressure on and at this stage I know the game is basically over cause Sopuli can't change his players to be more aggressive mid cycle and your players are dead during full pressure (and it lasts 30 seconds in real time). What makes this clip stand out is the 5-1 in front of his net with 30 or so seconds remaining 😅 But again why would I need to try to score here explaining everything I just did? I would just give Sopuli a free change to tie the game. With full pressure added I personally play with aggressive own zone strategies just to avoid stuff like this in 24, of course you can still try to rag the pressure on with how the AI is but it's way harder at least. I'm not saying it's nice or fun or whatever, and I totally get if people don't like it, but I would do the same thing every single time in an important tournament game.

So a core issues I see with a lot of crypto games is: No in game peer to peer economy. (ie. The game Devs make all the $$ off the items and you buy from them not other players) Couple of things I wanted to experiment with, in regards to on chain gaming is the peer to peer economy. So the way my team set it up, is you mine the token in game, but you sell the items peer to peer in SOL. (see video for a demo) This gives you two different ways to play to earn, you can farm items, from bosses and loot boxes, and sell them to players for solana:So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112 , then other players can buy them and use them to mine the token, and sell the token to traders who will speculate on the price. Or you can just buy the loot boxes, and use the items to farm the token. This should help with the sell pressure, because before the game flow was: Buy item (in token, From devs) --->farm a ton of token---> Sell token to recoup cost of item. New flow is : Player opens loot boxes (paid in token)/ Player Plays game (in game token sinks) ---> gets item ---Lists item--> other player buy Item (From players, In SOL) ----Farms token---> sells token. Now the equation is if the loot box-player spent more game tokens to get the item compared to what he gets for in sol, and it keeps more money in the in game economy, and the market will fluctuate more based on the price of the in game token. Oh man, I went down a ‘Diddy’ rabbit hole last night and saw clips of him with Justin Bieber that are jarring. I’m sharing a couple here. What struck me was the fear in Justin’s eyes at different ages and the nervousness, but one clip in particular has me shook. Watch at about the 60-second mark. We don’t know what Diddy whispers to Justin, but it sure looks like he is gently checking for a wire. A reminder, perhaps? Then I watched an interview from 2020 that hit hard, especially when Justin Bieber talks about wanting to shield Billie Eilish from what he went through as a young celebrity. It made me realize I was wrong about Bieber. I was not a follower of Justin Bieber as a person or his music. He is from my kids’ generation, but I remember thinking he was not a good kid, especially when I saw him take a piss in that bucket in the restaurant kitchen. Like, WTF! But this is a man who was exposed to too much at too young an age, without the guidance he should have had. I wish him peace, healing and a fair shake.
