Then he grew up...

Dennis: Um excuse me! Hello you. Strange swords lying in anvils, is no basis for a system of government!

Based on "The Once and Future King" by T.H. White and well done. BTW, the Kaye, the bully, was later a loyal knight of Arthur.

I can recite the whole Spanish dub by heart. That's how much I love this movie. Archimedes is my favorite

Why did anyone need to pull it at all when it was clearly already out of the "stone"?

I do love this part of the movie, it is very much like the tale of old but it is destroyed with the witch and wizard battle.

Listen carefully at the 1:02 mark “What’s the lad’s name?” …Do you recognize the voice???? He would go on to be the singing voice of ‘The Grinch’ and the original Kellogg’s ‘Tony the Tiger’🥳🥳. The voice actor - Thurl Ravenscroft…..♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Ah, yes, back when Disney actually made good stuff.

I grew up on classic Disney, and this one played on a loop in the mid/late 80s, along with Pete's Dragon, Mary Poppins, and Alice in Wonderland. Mickey's Christmas Carol was a seasonal staple.

One of my top Disney movies
I was 8 when this movie came out. Pestered my dad until he took me to the library to get the book by T.H. White. It had even more chapters about Arthur's adult life, not just childhood. Hooked. Thus began a life-long love of all things "Arthuriana" and their origins, plus plenty of side trips into Western Civ, classical literature, and Medieval architecture. That's a lot to get out of a cartoon movie.

I’ve never watched this movie (not a Disney fan save for Peter Pan), but this looks excellent, I must admit.

This, which was based on T.H. White's 1938 novel, got me into Arthurian legend. The "Camelot" musical is another classic, based on White's work.

@Nintendork9 Throne and Crown on Steam, I have a Sword in the Stone. The sword is weak, but the rock is enchanted. Anyone want a steam key. Ask.

I love that movie

I like the Latin American version better. The voices are better.

This was what got me into Arthurian Literature, movies, games, and Anime

The movie that got me into the lore of King Arthur and is still one of my favorite Disney Classics

I do appreciate how Ector and even Kay regretted how they treated Arthur.

I didn't vote for him!

☝️This film is racist, hate speech, and misrepresents history...🥳 I love this movie😍

@Nintendork9 He didn’t even need 3 pendants of virtue.

Back when cartoons were fun to watch. No they are too political .

Bully humbled by a miracle

i Have This Movie...

When Disney remakes it, a lesbian black will be the one pulling the sword from the stone.

I love the look on Kaye's face after he bows to Arthur. He's resentful at first, but then he softens as if he was thinking, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been so cruel to you."

If only Hazel would’ve like to be become a human from a squirrel following the 1963 Disney film The Sword in The Stone.

It’s like the movie read my mind with the whole “once the sword’s already been pulled” thing!

Yo this was sick

Loved that movie.

So a random dude just out it in?
