The Thing released 44 years ago today. 25 June 1982 🧊

Can anyone help me find the "Tied to this fucking couch" remix?

One of the all time best

This is a good THING to say.

"Where were you Childs?"

"Thought I saw Blair. Went out after him. Got lost in the storm." For the record, I think both are human at the end of the film.

I hope so, or else it's game over for planet Earth. Invasion of the Body Snatchers level of existential threat.

Have your read The Dark Horse? comics about the aftermath. Not bad.

I don't read nowhere near enough, but I have them, I think it was an audio/video a long while ago.

*but I know them*

"Cut me loose!"

The Thing remake came out forty four years ago, the original came out in 1951.

Top 10 movies of all time for me. I consider it Carpenter’s best film. I can watch it on repeat. The blood test scene is some of the best suspense put to film ever.

Love this scene. I still laugh when I see it.

Opening scene playing chess with a computer is still awesome! “Cheating b*tch”

@Angie_baby_25 ❤️

Best movie of all time!

And STILL the best!

Masterpiece 😍 And a great day for cinema. Blade Runner was also being released.

The greatest film of all time.

One of the best horror/science fiction movies of all time! Most of the practical effects still hold up today.

Dayum....that means...I'm fucking old! I saw that in the theater😭😭😭

Gary is low-key my favorite character.

A movie about being cold released at midsummer, prime example of my "horror movies with seasonably inappropriate release dates" bugbear

What can we do? What can we do?

Crazy how this movie flopped in the box office, but became a cult classic

"I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time, I'd rather not spend the rest of this winter tied to this fucking couch!"

It took me a little while to see this because I was just about a week into boot camp when it came out. I've definitely made up for it since then, I’ve seen it more times than I can count.

Greatest horror movie ever made.

Thanks for the trauma and nightmares.... Love it

One of the best horror movie scenes of all time

I still remember this scene from the Drive In 43 years ago.

I find watching this movie to be incredibly soothing.

@UltimoLegend Love this movie.
