Back in my younger days. The best thing I could ever do was buy my own truck. Got my own authority and started pulling for JB Hunt power only. Every time I delivered I got paid same day or next day, through factoring. Stay out as long as you want or park it anytime.

Yea they mostly Ukrainian too. Our government gave ukr all that money. They came here, and then went and bought trucks with taxpayer money to start companies.

I don’t think that it has anything to do with foreigners. I think that being an owner operator, contracting with larger carrier and working under their authority (their DOT#/MC#), is a total scam. You’re giving them the right to dig in your check for whatever they want. Being an independent owner operator, and working under YOUR OWN authority, whether you lease or own your truck, is how you truly get paid. Anything else is a scam. Btw, i had a truck with SFI some years ago and SFI is T R A S H. You won’t own a truck with them either unless you live on your truck and don’t have family to support. Truck payments are $1300+escow, per week. That’s in addition to the carrier taking crazy deductions. SFI sale defected trucks too. I wasn’t even off the lot before i had a breakdown 🤦🏽‍♀️
