@AravSrinivas Perplexity is taking on Google, got it

Honestly, I don't understand why the media goes crazy for the most promotional CEO in the GenAIn space. Usage has stagnated, the browser won't change the point of incertion for usage. Yes, the put option might be real, but how is that different from prior tech eras?

@AravSrinivas Right. Surely not because he’s not the one getting it.

@AravSrinivas he needs to sell for higher valuation than their latest raise (preferably multiples), but still jeez. While he's not wrong about the monopoly, the core values of perplexity have jumped all over the place; the 'startup' is dropping red flags everywhere.

@AravSrinivas More power @AskPerplexity

@AravSrinivas Good news, I agree. They're doing things right. I'm siding with perplexity over Google

@AravSrinivas Little tech winning will be great for the industry as extreme consolidation isn't ideal, but the AI race is looking more and more like an ecosystem race, which puts the incumbents with large established ecosystems at a significant advantage.

@AravSrinivas No more vendor-lock
