Finally a parent that gets it. I see too many showcase teams, talented they be, but terrible Baseball IQ. In my honest opinion, these showcase teams are more for the coaches ego than the players. You can play great competition without being on showcase team. It’s the long game that should be the focus not short.

Coaches, if you rarely share...share this. Important message here! "It is a very difficult question, because to be a great coach there are so many aspects… it is not only about tactics or results, it is about the human being as well. But on the other side, it is easier to say what makes a bad coach. For me, a bad coach is somebody who takes away the joy of the game from the players, who does not allow them to express themselves or make their own decisions. Especially at the level of development, the role of the coach is to give freedom, but not to control everything."

Not nearly enough ⏲️ and 💰 on athletic development. 4. Sports participation alone does not develop general athletic skills or fitness. 5. Jake Sullivan on Gaza: Too many innocent people died in Gaza as a result of Israel's military operations. I woke up every morning and went to sleep every night thinking about what we could do to try to alleviate the suffering. I have also said that genocide, from my perspective, requires actually an intent to do the destruction — and not to fight a terrorist foe while conducting operations in a way that killed too many civilians. Should we or could we have done more? I ask myself that question every day. And the answer must be yes, of course, because too many people died and suffered. I think about what opportunity here or what chance there or what move there, and I play that back in my head.

"This is what a win looks like to us and we're setting these KPI's for every player, based on development. We also have cultural wins too." If the only win you define is the final score, you miss countless opportunities to reinforce growth, progress, and culture. So much confusion on this issue .. so much opportunity but not the requirement that some believe it is .There are countless businesses built every day that become monster businesses that do not have the founder or CEO out in front? After 15 days of hard work, I'm happy to share my game for @levelsio's 2026 #vibejam The game is called Hollowlands and I'm trying my best on it. Learning a lot of new stuff in the process. My previous game development experience + AI is a powerful combination that I honestly think it's underexplored by many. What used to take weeks of development now is being done in days, allowing me to focus more on the creative part of the process. Next step: Integrating multiplayer using Colyseus ⚔️ by Endel who's also a fellow brazilian 🇧🇷

THEY CAN’T DO PUSH-UPS ⁉️ You’d be SURPRISED with how many HS & MS athletes that simply can’t do push-ups. (I know too many adults that can’t do push-ups either…) Why is that the case? 🚩 Too many coaches use push-ups for punishment & fitness at a young age without ever teaching the correct way to do a push-up… 🚩 Too many coaches emphasizing QUANTITY rather than QUALITY… Best way to fix it? ▪️Elevate the hands The higher your hands are, relative to your feet, the easier the push-up. It’s an auto-correct way to get better at push-ups. And I think it’s significantly easier than teaching “knees on the ground.” As you progress, lower the elevation. QUALITY >>> QUANTITY Here are some great coaching cues & models that can help fix issues: ✅ Hand placement slightly outside of chest. Fingers pointed straight ahead. ✅ Aim to touch the middle of your chest between your hands ✅ Your arms & torso should form the letters “A” or “I” ✅ “Screw your hands into the ground” ✅Lead with your chest, not your forehead ✅Body should rise & fall as one ❌ Your arms & torso should NOT form the letter “T” ❌ Your face should NOT track between your hands BONUS: Elevated push-ups are a great progression for athletes who CAN do great push-ups. The extra mobility will help get stronger in more extreme ranges of motion.

Bill Cowher says assistant coaches are more important than the head coach, and explains why he coached his coaches instead of his players: “There’s a lot more going on behind the scenes. Let’s be respectful of the fact that we don’t know everything. That’s the receiver’s fault.’ How do you know?” “You weren’t in that meeting room. The game is chess. It’s not checkers.” “We look at the head coaches, but let’s look at the assistant coaches. To me, those are more important. I didn’t coach the players as a head coach. I coached the coaches.” “I wanted them to have that relationship with the player, not just me. If intervention was needed, I would intervene. But let them do their thing.” “Let the coaches call their games. Let the coaches coach the individual players. You can see it from afar and coach the coaches.
