There is a big scam going on in E20 production. Govt-owned ethanol-producing plants are shut down or made non operational to procure ethanol from private players. We all know who the private players are. The BSNL story is repeating in E20 production.

There is a basic distinction being ignored here: commissioning a new technology is not the same as shutting down a government plant. At Bargarh, the 1G facility is operating and undergoing stabilisation following minor pending work, while the 2G facility has also begun production. The allegation simply doesn't follow from the facts.

The Bargarh plant was not shut down. It was commissioned as a 1G + 2G ethanol plant, and both plants have already started producing ethanol. The 2G plant uses new technology and naturally needs time to become fully stable, along with proper straw collection and supply systems. Buying ethanol from private companies does not by itself prove any scam. There needs to be evidence that the government plant was deliberately kept shut to benefit private companies. So, the main point is simple the video appears to show only one side of the story! 🤡

UP has the most Ethanol plant, has nothing to do with who you think Uttar Pradesh has around 85 operational distilleries integrated with private and corporate sugar mills PM is counting on farmers in sugar belt to vote for them

The comparison misses what makes 2G ethanol different. It involves an entirely new ecosystem—paddy-straw aggregation, dependable feedstock, logistics, raw materials, chemicals and process stabilisation. The government is supporting such facilities precisely to demonstrate the commercial viability of advanced indigenous technology using agricultural residue.

The Bargarh facility has already produced 707 KL of 1G ethanol and 76 KL of 2G ethanol. The 1G plant is operating while undergoing stabilisation after minor pending work. If the intention was to make a government facility non-operational, these facts make little sense.

India needs huge quantities of ethanol to sustain E20. Developing government-owned OMC capacity in 1G, 2G and advanced biofuels while procuring ethanol from multiple producers is part of managing that transition. The existence of private producers alone cannot be presented as proof of a scam.

These people bring up new excuses every day just to sabotage India's E20 mission while OMCs and advanced biorefineries operate at full throttle on the ground.

India's green-energy transformation will involve construction challenges, trial runs and learning curves. What matters is continued progress. With both 1G and 2G production underway, BPCL Bargarh is moving the mission forward.

Calling BPCL Bargarh the next “BSNL story” makes for a dramatic exposé. The facts tell a different story. The plant wasn’t “shut down.” It was commissioned in FY25–26 as an integrated 1G+2G biorefinery, with 100 KL/day capacity for each. 1G production began on 6 Oct 2025. 2G production began on 19 Mar 2026. It has already produced 707 KL of 1G + 76 KL of 2G ethanol. A newly commissioned plant undergoing stabilisation—especially with complex 2G technology—is not evidence that a PSU was deliberately crippled to benefit private players. Private ethanol procurement + PSU-owned production can coexist. To prove a “scam,” show evidence of deliberate sabotage or suppression—not simply that a new plant hasn’t reached full commercial stability yet. Rhetoric isn’t evidence. If you’re alleging a scam, present the whole story not just the half that fits the narrative.

India should evaluate advanced biofuel projects with data and technical understanding. Labelling every adjustment or pending task a "closure" discourages innovation and misleads people about how new industrial technology develops.

They r finishing off petrol cars under hidden deals signed off internationally to transfer to E vehicles by 2030 - climate agreements. But that is selling the sovereignty by sacrificing domestic needs

Sustaining E20 requires very large quantities of ethanol. That is why government-owned OMC plants are being developed to expand 1G, 2G and advanced biofuel capacity, alongside procurement from multiple producers. Building this ecosystem is a transition—not something that can honestly be reduced to a “private players’ scam.”

The BSNL comparison collapses the moment Bargarh’s actual record is examined. This is an integrated biorefinery where both 1G and 2G units have been commissioned and ethanol production has begun.

Some people see stabilization work and instantly announce failure. Engineers see a normal step in bringing new technology to reliable commercial operation. BPCL Bargarh should be assessed through engineering facts, not online drama.

Advanced biofuel plants do not reach steady-state performance at the press of a button. Every new process requires testing, optimization and stabilization. Turning that technical reality into a scandal is deeply misleading.

Naye 2G plant ko chalu karna aur stabilise karna commercial scale par time leta hai, ise "government scam" batana total ridiculous hai.

To those spreading false narratives about government plants being deliberately closed you should go check Bargarh's production numbers and open your eyes.

Bargarh should be discussed as an emerging industrial facility, not through outdated telecom analogies. It has commissioned two ethanol pathways and is generating output while the advanced process continues to stabilize.

BPCL’s Bargarh project is not just another ethanol plant. It combines 1G and 2G technology, each with 100 KL/day capacity. Both were commissioned in FY 2025-26, with production already underway. A complex new facility taking time to stabilise is normal commissioning not evidence of a conspiracy.

The Bargarh example tells a very different story from the allegation. BPCL invested in the facility, commissioned both 1G and 2G plants and has already started ethanol production. The 1G plant has produced 707 KL and the 2G plant 76 KL. That is hardly evidence of a government plant being deliberately abandoned.

Turning paddy straw into 2G ethanol is technologically demanding. Successfully beginning production is therefore an important milestone, even while further stabilization continues. Complex innovation deserves informed evaluation.

Producing conventional ethanol and producing 2G ethanol from paddy straw are entirely different challenges. Bargarh is building the technology, logistics and feedstock ecosystem needed for India’s advanced biofuel future.

Producing 2G ethanol from agricultural residue like paddy straw isn't child's play and requires building a completely new supply chain ecosystem that critics refuse to understand.

A 2G plant must coordinate biomass procurement, storage, pre-treatment, fermentation and multiple other processes. Expecting flawless output from day one is unrealistic. Stabilization is part of building dependable capacity.

Seventy-six KL of 2G ethanol matters because it represents production through an advanced process using agricultural residue. Instead of mocking early output, serious observers should recognize the complexity of this achievement.
