The move by a certain section of war vets to fight against CAB3 is welcomed and fully embraced. Any friction in Zanupf should be fully taken advantage of for the betterment of all Zimbabweans. The fight against CAB3 should result in a true free Zimbabwe not a replacement of faces of the same system. The mistakes of 2017 should never be repeated. Today the words of the late Patson Dzamara are a living reality. We were never there and we will only get there when there is freedom for all. Its Zimbabweans first before any politician. #Noto2030 #OneManOneVote

The ball is now with us the leadership of the opposition, Civil Society, Students, Workers, Vendors and churches to stand up and lead and for the generality of the Citizens of Zimbabwe to rise up and put a stop to CAB3 madness. A few thoughts on the selective empathy and outrage by the Irish commentariat. This has reached a point where historical and present suffering of people across the globe is maliciously diminished and dismissed in order to position one type of suffering as worse. At best, this is done to serve the cynical virtue signalling purposes of the Irish commentariat, at worst, this is done to falsely position the world’s only Jewish state as an unparalleled evil. The approximately 2 million victims of the Cambodian genocide matter, the approximately 1 million victims of the Rwandan genocide matter. The fact that an 80-year-old Irish media figure (who lived through both of these atrocities) says that the assault on Gaza is ‘the worst thing we’ve seen in our lifetime’, is a clear demonstration of: 1. The disregard for basic truth on this issue in Ireland, and 2. The cruel apathy towards the victims of any other atrocity that doesn’t serve our national obsession with hating Israel.

The reason for our interest in nuclear energy is that all the rivers in Africa have a potential total hydropower capacity of approximately 300,000 megawatts. In Africa, we expect to have a population of 1.3 billion by 2020. The United States, with its population of only 300 million people, currently uses 1 million megawatts, but all the rivers in Africa have the potential of only 300,000 megawatts. Even if all the sites on African rivers were developed, we would not have enough electricity to sustain our population.” He said this on 24th September 2009 during the UN Security Council that was chaired by Black Obama.

Monica Mukwada, a former councillor and MP had the mic snatched from her by Zanu PF hooligans as she made her presentation at a Public Hearing on Constitutional Amendment Number 3 Bill in Mutare today. She had to be escorted out of the hall after the presentation due to threats of violence. She however, withered the storm as the hooligans booed her but still managed to make important points about the bill. She said that extending the terms of current MPs, Senators and the President is against the wishes of the people since the electorate no longer wants most of them. Further “when we sent the President, MPs and Senators to Parliament, our agreement was that they will be there until 2028. That position has not changed Mr chairman”. She said traditional leaders preside over court cases and judges cannot be politicians. She said the war was fought for one man one vote and allowing a few to vote for the President is contrary to that which thousands of Zimbabweans lost their lives for. She said that the Gender Commission must remain in place to represent women. After Jessi Majome, Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission, gave an appraisal of the Constitutional Amendment Bill 3, raising its benefits and shortcomings, she issued a scathing official report about human rights violations and unconstitutional conduct surrounding the constitutional amendment Bill (CAB3) consultation process. By so doing she delegitimized the process, and as a result, she was dismissed from her position as Chairperson of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission and reassigned to Public Service. This was done to silence honest criticism regarding how the amendment consultation process was conducted through intimidation, violence, and propaganda against the opposition, forcing the unpopular Bill down people's throats. What's even more interesting is that on the same day the President fires/reassigned Majome, he also fired the head of CIO after he'd just been in office for one year. Rumors are the CIO boss was critical of CAB3 and was not willing to use his agents to persecute people who oppose the Bill, and the President and his advisors weren't happy about this, so they fired him an #CAB3

Gutu Pastors’ Fraternity recently spent hours praying and cleansing a black spot near Tachi Business Center, 14km from Mpandawana along Gutu-Roy Road where scores of people were killed by accidents. Pastors should have noticed on the day that Traffic Safety Council Of Zimbabwe Ministry of Transport - Zimbabwe Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Zimbabwe Republic Police there are no warning signs of hazardous sharp curves at that stretch of the road and there is perennially tall grass on the roadsides that allow stray cattle to cross unnoticed by motorists. Some of the problems we burden the Lord with in our prayers are man-made and come from our lethargy as a people. Ministry of Transport - Zimbabwe go erect warning signs at the sharp curves and cut down the tall grass. You can also add shoulders at the sharp curves and half the problems would be solved. One of the victims of a fatal accident who died last year was former Hwiru Primary School head, Jonah Takabvirwakare. While our South African brothers and sisters never miss an opportunity to mock Zimbabwe, many of them remain blissfully unaware that their own army had to rely on Zimbabwe for the evacuation of their injured and even pregnant soldiers. Yes, the same Zimbabwe they love to ridicule was the one ensuring their troops made it out safely. And why was Zimbabwe the best-placed country for this mission? Simple - because in Southern Africa, Zimbabwe is the only nation that the Rwandese, particularly through M23, genuinely fear. They learned a few hard-hitting lessons between 1998 and 2003, courtesy of Zimbabwe’s military expertise. Rwandese forces know - wisely, and from experience - to steer clear of any operation where Zimbabwe is involved. South Africans may joke, but history speaks louder than their ignorance.

Zimbabweans are not cowards as some folks wanna put it… THEY JUST DON’T HAVE A REASON TO FIGHT ANYONE, more so President President of Zimbabwe … it’s as simple as that. This 👇🏽 is a shopping centre in Harare, people were making & spending their money AS USUAL…. The problem we have is people stuck with the image of a Zimbabwe OF LONG AGO… South Africa is far ahead of Zimbabwe, it has always been… anyone trying to draw comparisons between the two countries is just confused… That said, Zimbabwe is developing & growing under President Mnangagwa, and because of that, don’t expect anyone to successfully mobilise people against him… and most importantly, THERE IS NO Zimbabwean in Zimbabwe or outside who has more political capital that President Mnangagwa, NONE…

NOT to any agenda that places one man's ambition above the supreme law of the land. Rise, Zimbabwe. Rise and DEFEND YOUR CONSTITUTION. #NoTo2030 CAB3 is not reform. It is a legislative instrument designed to extend presidential tenure beyond what Section 91(2) of the Constitution permits. Section 328 prohibits exactly this no amendment shall advantage a sitting president on term limits.

ZIMBABWE’S 2023 HARMONISED GENERAL ELECTION: SADC HAS MOVED ON Yesterday, there were two notable SADC Secretariat meetings held virtually, which made mention of Zimbabwe's recent harmonised general election. One was an Extraordinary Organ Troika Summit convened by its Chairperson, Hakainde Hichilema, to review the security situation in eastern DRC and to get an update on the Sadc Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (SAMIDRC). The other was an Extraordinary Council of Ministers Meeting that reviewed the Draft Budget for the Sadc Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (SAMIDRC). The council is composed of all Sadc member states. Although both meetings were principally on the DRC, they separately made notable references to Zimbabwe’s harmonised general election held slightly over a month ago. According to Hakainde Hichilema, “it was good to get updates on previous & upcoming elections in our region”. That's all that Hakainde Hichilema said. Angola’s Minister of External Relations, who is the Chairperson of the SADC Council of Ministers, speaking on behalf of the Council, congratulated Zimbabwe “on holding elections in a climate of peace and tranquillity, in line with the Constitution and the principles and guidelines governing the holding of elections in the Sadc region”. Yes, he said: "in line with the Constitution [of Zimbabwe] and the principles and guidelines governing the holding of elections in the Sadc region". That's significant. Angola is the current Sadc Chair. Notably, the agenda of SADC Secretariat summits is prepared and reviewed by the SADC Council of Ministers, chaired by Angola. While the final report of the Sadc Election Observation Mission [SEOM] is yet to be tabled for noting at the next Ordinary Sadc Summit scheduled for August 2024, it is safe to say that SADC has moved on regarding Zimbabwe’s 2023 harmonised general election. There will be no Extraordinary Ordinary Sadc Summit on SEOM's report on Zimbabwe's 2023 harmonised general election. Sadc observed the election, and prepared a report which has recommendations that Zimbabwe, as a member state, will be at liberty to review and act on or not act on in terms of its Constitution and laws, as it may be deem fit as a sovereign state! An hour ago, I was on South Africa’s public broadcaster, the SABC News News discussing the implications of Zimbabwe’s new law, Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3, which came into effect two days ago. The amendment extends President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term of office by an additional two years to 2030, removes the direct election of the President by citizens and transfers that responsibility to Parliament, and effectively removes the elections that had been scheduled for 2028. We also discussed what these changes mean not only for Zimbabwe but for the entire region, particularly South Africa, which has borne the brunt of migration from Zimbabwe, both legal and illegal, driven largely by the country’s prolonged economic and political crises. What happens in Zimbabwe never stays in Zimbabwe. Political instability, economic decline, and democratic backsliding inevitably have consequences for neighbouring countries.
