#cab3

Many Zimbabweans are asking that if parliament votes for #CAB3 and the President signs it into law, is there still a way to reverse it? To explain I go through the process that CAB3 is going through in parliament to until it’s either voted for or against by parliament and what happens when it is signed into law by the President. I then speak about the options available once it has been made law.

The president of the Republic of #Zimbabwe President of Zimbabwe explains to SABC News that #CAB3 would not create a President who can rule for 37 years like the former President Robert Mugabe who came to power as the country's first Prime Minister in April 1980, transitioned to the role of President in 1987, and remained in office until he resigned in November 2017. The Constitution would still require leadership renewal after the completion of the maximum two terms. Whether the terms are five years or seven years long, the principle remains the same: no President would be permitted to continue beyond the constitutional limit. The purpose of extending term length is not to create permanent leaders but to provide greater continuity for long-term national projects such as dams, highways, railways, power stations, industrial parks, and other infrastructure initiatives that often take many years to complete. From this perspective, the debate is not about removing term limits but about balancing leadership continuity with constitutional safeguards. Professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba adds his voice against #CAB3. He laughs at how a government that professes to be serving the people runs away from the same people by refusing elections. He says "you cannot cure the difficulties of democracy by amputating the will of the people." He pours scorn over claims by 2030ists that "elections are toxic" and hamper development. He argues that the only "toxic thing in Zimbabwe" that hampers development "is a ruling elite that uses violence to silence the people".

This is Honourable S Mureyami of CCC. She is openly supporting the infamous #CAB3 in Parliament. A #Bill which seeks to extend Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term of office with an extra two years. She is one of the Members of Parliament who entered Parliament through the back door. She is a product of the illegal recalls that were initiated by the ruling party ZANU PF through the notorious Sengezo Tshabangu. Authentic voices like Hon Gift Ostallos Siziba & Pashor Raphael Sibanda were illegally recalled from the house of assembly to pave way for this nonsense. This is heist going on right before our eyes. Ordinary people are being robbed of their right to directly elect a President of their choice. #Africa #Democracy #PoliticalNews #Zimbabwe #africa

There is an important misconception circulating regarding the #CAB3 consultation process. The figure of 300,000 submissions does not mean that only 300,000 Zimbabweans participated. A submission is not the same as an individual participant. Many submissions were made on behalf of large constituencies, organisations, and communities. For example, the Zimbabwe Council of Churches submitted a position representing approximately 8.7 million congregants across its member churches, while the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops' Conference submitted a position reflecting the views of approximately 3.7 million faithful. I received a threat from a vigilante group called “Presidential Mafia Edutainers 4ED” that demon-possessed men will attack me if I continue to speak out against #CAB3. This is the same group that also threatened Prof Lovemore Madhuku and TENDAI BITI. Please help us to identify them.

WATCH | Archbishop Dr. Andby Makururu, who claimed that the Holy Spirit revealed the #CAB3 bill to him in the 1980s, yesterday visited the New Parliament Building in Harare to deliver a box full of petitions from his church members supporting the bill. He said previous election periods in Zimbabwe were marked by toxicity, divisions, and violence, which he believes have slowed down the country’s economic development.

Looks like VP Chiwenga's Hezekiah sermon unruffled a lot of feathers among ED's sycophantic bootlickers. Now the Mahiyas are claiming #CAB3 emanates from the bible-what nonsense! Anyway, the General made his sermon and those specializing in interpreting the sermon can do so. To the General's audience, the message got home. Vana Mahiya can waffle all they want but the horses have already bolted.
