There is cold war between Dangote & Tinubu. No one will build such a massive refinery, & not have their license issued. FG said the Dangote Refinery is only 45% completed, confirming David Hundeyin’s position. Nigeria’s Crony Capitalist-in-Chief will have to join our protest.

I’ve been your fan for a very long time but you thinking Tinubu being bias with dangote is wrong. Dangote been trying to monopolize everything and Tinubu doesn’t give him the chance on petroleum products. I’m not supporting Tinubu in everything but dangote is part of our problem.

They are at war, the FG just want everything to be imported. If not, there are some government-owned refineries that need to be fixed so they can compete with Dangote.

If you study Dangote business model, you will know that he doesn't like competition.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 When you design and build a refinery, it must primarily be based on the quality of crude oil (bonny light, west texas intermediate, brent etc.) that you expect to process and use as feed stock. I would assume that Dangote built the refinery based on Nigeria's Bonny Light Crude Oil. I cannot imagine his refinery processing any other crude except bonny light. If he processes US or Brazilian crude, his refined petroleum products output would be garbage at best. Besides, his 650K bbl/day refinery will require exactly that amount of crude oil for regular operation - anything short of that capacity will be a big issue when it comes to operating the refinery. Unfortunately, Nigeria currently has only 200K bbl/day to spare after all JVs and future contracts have collected their share of the current 1.25M bbl/day crude oil production. Remember, Nigeria needs to sell a portion of the 200K bbl/day crude oil to generate FX revenue. So how much will they give to Dangote, and how much will they sell? With the future contracts that were used as collateral for the debts running into 20-30 years tenor, criminal Nigerian leaders have been pocketing these monies they collected as debts/loans instead of building infrastructure. I cannot even imagine how to resolve this monumental shit-show. The only thing that I can see is Dangote's Refinery becoming a worthless pile of steel that might have to be sold for scrap. The refinery will operate at a loss, at least for the next 20-30 years, if Dangote wishes to keep the refinery operational.

Dangote is requesting that Nigeria 🇳🇬 government to stop all importation of petroleum products and direct all marketers to him. So he can continue his corrupt monopolistic business enterprise. I said it before and I will say it again. Las Las, na that refinery go cause wahala among them. In mommy Patience Jonathan's lovely voice 'korntinu' Nigeria 🇳🇬 we hail thee Ire o

Nothing new 2 see here. Just the usual case of “dogs eating dogs” within the Nigerian power circles. I bet we are hearing this bcos Dangote probably refused to allocate some of the “refinery shares” 2 some people. With these lot, it’s never about the benefit of ordinary Nigerians

I just pity people wey dey take Hundeyin serious. Project delays happen all over the world and I don't know when it became a crime for a project to miss its projected delivery date due to unforeseen circumstances. David Hundeyin won't tell his audience that Dangote bought our refineries in 2007 only for Yaradua to reverse the sale. Dangote then decided to build his own from the scratch. Eventually he found a home in Lagos at the Lekki Free Trade Zone. The question any right thinking person needs to ask is this, if Dangote has no intention of refining crude oil, why expend close to $21 billion to build the largest single train refinery in the world with a deep sea terminal, 430mw power plant in an area over thrice the size of Victoria Island? If he wants to be selling crude oil like Hundeyin wants his zombies to believe, all he needs to do is to go and acquire an OML and set up an oil exploration company. If he wants to be importing refined fuel, by now he would have dethroned NNPCL as the biggest importer of refined petroleum products. He doesn't have to do a merry-go-round of building a refinery na. The lamentations of David Hundeyin simply makes no single sense but because his audience have auctioned their brains to him, they can't see it. He's simply bitter that the Dangote refinery they're told their minions was a scam is finally set to begin operations. Many bitter souls and enemy of progress simply needed a naysayer to cling unto to display their frustration over the good news that is the Dangote refinery. Long may their wailing and frustration last as Nigeria keeps rising!
