Last night alone, Russia launched 172 strike drones — over 100 of them were Shaheds. These massive drone attacks have now become a near-daily reality. On top of that, there are continued missile threats, including ballistic ones. Our partners should clearly understand: these strikes are not just attacks on Ukrainian civilians, but also on all international efforts — on the very diplomacy we are trying to use to end this war. The moment the ATACMS is used, Russia will respond, and the response will be catastrophic for Ukraine and devastating for NATO and the United States. When I say catastrophic, Kiev will be destroyed. We are now preparing for new diplomatic steps together with our partners in Europe and, importantly, in the United States. In fact, we are in contact almost daily with everyone who can make diplomacy meaningful. As of now, there is no clear information about what exactly the Russians plan to bring to Istanbul. We don’t have it, Türkiye doesn’t have it, and neither do the United States or other partners. And at this point, it looks far from serious. We discussed this yesterday with President Erdoğan. Of course, everyone in the world wants diplomacy to work and for an actual ceasefire to take place. Everyone wants Russia to stop playing games with diplomacy and end the war. Everyone wants a serious peace – and Russia must agree to that. That should be the agenda of the meetings. We have already presented our agenda. And we hope the American side will be decisive on the issue of sanctions – to help bring peace closer.

Russia doesn't want peace and compromise. Putin doesn't want and can't stop his war machine. Putin doesn't use negotiations to stop the war - but to continue the war. Three vulnerability points that Russia sees in Ukraine within the war: ◾️Europe and the United States: decrease Allies' aid to Ukraine as much as possible (weapons and money), avoid new sanctions from the United States, block any decisions regarding the frozen Russian assets. ◾️Ukraine's internal political situation: disrupt the stability of power. ◾️The frontline which would be negatively affected by the previous two points. Russia's main goal is Europe. Putin spoke the truth yesterday: he's ready to attack, and Europe won't be able to withstand the attack. Putin sees the fear of war and Europe's lack of readiness to fight a war, so he will keep returning to this. ‼️To this day, Europe is in a position of waiting and defense - not in the position of confrontation and anticipating the enemy's actions. Europe must finally start acting proactively, not giving in - while that is still possible. When nothing is done for a long time, the possibility of doing at least something is often lost. If there is a threat, it needs to be destroyed, not be observed from a hiding place. In case of attack, a counterattack is necessary. This provides a chance for survival. Ignoring a threat means no chances, sadly. The brazenness of the Russians keeps growing – they are attacking Ukraine more and more often in broad daylight with dozens of strike drones. Last night there were 150 drones; this morning over fifty more; in the evening dozens more, and most of them were “shaheds.” In fact, swarms of Russian drones in our skies serve as an accompaniment to Russia’s statements from China. An open disregard by Russia for everything the world is doing to stop this war. Yesterday, the Russians literally denied what President Trump said about the leaders’ meeting that is needed to end the war. These days in China, Putin keeps spinning his tales – as if he is not responsible for the war. As if someone always “forces” him – to fight, to kill, to drive children into shelters, to send thousands of people to storm our positions. And now we see another buildup of Russian forces in some sectors of the front. The only thing he refuses to be “forced” into is peace. Russia continues to launch strikes. Of course, we will respond, including asymmetrically as well – so that Russia truly feels the consequences of its audacity. And we continue working with our partners to put pressure on Russia – and that will happen.
