ALERT: Former corrections staff member arrested after allegedly allowing an inmate to use her cell phone during one-on-one teaching in Nebraska. Heather Robinson, 38, the former General Education Development program teacher at the Douglas County Department of Corrections, is accused of allowing a 21-year-old inmate access to her cellphone. The inmate was part of a GED program, and Robinson allowed him to take photos, make video calls, and even sent messages to the inmate's family on his behalf. The best way to think about this and really making it simple is, these tariff schedules in Canada, Mexico, and now 13 other countries, is Trump examining all of them, Some of them were put in place right after the Second World War so there's a lot of imbalance. If you look at aggregate of tariffs in the United States on inbound, they're much less than what countries are charging on outbound into their countries of American goods. So the idea is, "Let's go reciprocal. Why don't you drop yours to zero, and I'll talk to Trump about dropping his to zero and we'll combine the economies." That makes sense. I think this is one giant negotiation and we're starting April 2nd.

Today is Halloween 🎃 – and these five thought they were ‘tricking’ the system…but their treat is unfortunately a one-way ticket to prison! Scott Howard, Liam Duffy, Terry Riley, Gary Bell and Stephen Moore have been jailed for a combined 46 years following an investigation into a serious organised crime group in #Liverpool. The investigation, called Operation Match, initially focussed on drug dealer Terence Clarke, who was caught and jailed in October 2023 after detectives infiltrated messages he exchanged through the ‘SacredTruck’ Encrochat handle. He would use others to collect and sell his drugs, co-ordinating the whole operation on his encrypted device. Clarke’s criminal associates would also preside over safehouses across Liverpool, which were used to store and supply large quantities of drugs. As part of Operation Match, we have seized a large quantity of Class A and B drugs, two firearms including a loaded Skorpion machine gun and 11 people have previously been jailed. These significant sentences demonstrate that we will come after organised crime gangs and the individuals associated with them, no matter their position in the hierarchy, as we strive to protect the public from serious harm and bring offenders to justice 💪 Illegal drugs cause harm and misery to those that become addicted to them and to their families and friends, often linked to other crimes being committed to fund their addiction.
