These politicians just assume you can’t do basic math.

How do these people not understand that our government collects more than 5 trillion dollars a year through taxes and tariffs? If the government wanted to fix these problems they would have already fixed them. Our problem is not with the billionaires. Our problem is with Congress!

It’s not Jeff’s job to take care of everyone’s kids. That’s the parents job. First and foremost. And then yes… math! lol

@grok How much combined money is spent on child hunger in the US by Federal, State and Local agencies each year?

And all that money goes to fraud

Not to mention the government would spend at least half of it on themselves before any of it ever made its way to a child. 🫤

I keep hearing the argument that if we just took another billion dollars from Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk or some other billionaire, we could solve child hunger. But before demanding more money, shouldn't we ask what is happening to the enormous amount we're already spending? According to Feeding America, about 1 in 5 American children — roughly 14 million kids — experiences food insecurity. Now look at the money already going toward food assistance: • SNAP: $101.7 BILLION in federal spending in FY2025 • WIC: $7.7 BILLION in FY2025 • Billions more through school breakfast and lunch, summer meals, child-care food programs and other federal nutrition programs • On top of that: food banks, thousands of charitable organizations, corporate donations and billions of dollars in private charitable giving and donated food. And here's the part that should make everyone stop and ask questions: Feeding America's own research estimates the nationwide food-budget shortfall for food-insecure Americans at about $33 billion. So my question isn't, "Which billionaire can we take another billion dollars from?" My question is: With well over $100 billion already flowing through government food-assistance programs every year — plus the enormous charitable food network — why are 1 in 5 American children still food insecure? Where is the breakdown? Is assistance failing to reach families who need it? Are eligibility rules leaving people out? Are administrative systems inefficient? Are benefits inadequate in high-cost areas? Are resources being poorly allocated? Are some programs simply not working? I don't know the answer. But THAT is the conversation we should be having. If we're spending this much money and 14 million children are still struggling to get enough food, simply demanding another billion dollars without asking what happened to the first hundred billion isn't a solution. Before asking Americans for more money, show us why the money we're already spending isn't solving the problem.

That money goes to families and buddies of the politicians......you know so they can "run" the programs.

Most are because they keep repeating shit like that. So no…most have no clue about basic math.

👍

Nice ——keep up the good work

Most of the money is probably being embezzled. Also when a random stranger asking a poll question, did they just ask are your children hungry? For most parents the answer is going to be yes! They're always hungry. But fed. 😂🤣☠️

If these billionaires paid their fair share in taxes, we’d only be 39.8 trillion in debt, and not 40.

$600B should provide $675/month for every one of the 74m kids. Let’s say ‘only’ 15m actually need assistance. That’s over $3,300 a month!! If $600B is in fact correct, there must be major fraud out there.

They know their intended audience is dumber than a box of rocks.

They dont need to convince me or you... They only need to convince dumb ppl to keep them voting for them.

And what happens to the cost of food when suddenly everyone can buy it?

😆 the people spreading that moneynaround would getn33 percent or more before it even touches the right places to go, all of it is fraudulent

yes, they are that dumb

Obviously Joe you forgot the audience he is talking to. Most liberals are retarded

He said for child hunger not every child under 18. Normally I agree with you. But on this you aren't even close on the numbers. There are only about 12-14 million they consider need food. I mean you are still right as far as Bezos wouldn't make a dent in it but on the numbers you are mistaken.
