🔥Unknown attackers blew up 11 gas stations in three “Muslim” provinces of Thailand A series of explosions took place overnight in the border provinces of Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat. They are located far from popular tourist destinations like Phuket, so there is no threat to tourists. Improvised explosive devices were planted at the gas stations. One police officer was injured. 🇹🇭 Southern Thailand is a predominantly Muslim region with a long-running separatist movement seeking independence or the creation of a sultanate. The armed conflict there has lasted for decades, with militants periodically attacking police and local defence forces.

This is a dust-devil. These mini tornados are a common thing in the western states of America. Though they are usually harmless, they can cause havoc depending on their size. I am not so sure I would have tried to stand in it. Dirt in my eyes, is not a pleasant experience. 🌪️

I don't speak Hadzabe but I'm sure the man is talking about how difficult it is to hunt aardvarks because of how fast they dig. Aardvarks can dig a 2 feet hole in just 15 seconds. In fact, they're so good in digging holes and burrows that they don't sleep in a burrow for long. They may not sleep in a burrow for two nights. They just keep moving and dig new ones wherever they want to sleep. Their abandoned burrows serve as homes for warthogs, snakes, rabbits and so on. They're the real estate moguls of the wild.

Made a pivot today cause I really didn't want to be in that small weight room with these scalawags all day. Mixed this game in before sprints. Curved run with a pursuit and blast. If you got hit it was 3 burpees cause we're not soft. They had a blast. Bieber’s new bop is a jam.

Another great example of everyday Chinese efficiency we just experienced. We got the RV stuck (again, see quoted post below 👇) but this time it's completely not our fault: at the end of a one-way road a height restriction barrier had collapsed. It was meant to block trucks over 3m in height but, due to it collapsing, it was standing at maybe 2m50 and our RV is 2m80 so 🤷‍♂️ And since it was a one way road we couldn't turn around and drive against traffic: forbidden and too dangerous. So we called the police. They arrived in exactly 3 minutes which they told us is actually their official KPI for time to intervention. I repeat: the official KPI for the police here in China is that when someone calls, they need to be on-site within a maximum of 3 minutes 🤯 They did two things: first, they immediately called the local village chief, which in the Chinese system is the person accountable to get the height restriction barrier fixed. The guy arrived in less than 2 minutes! Second, they escorted us to drive back on our one-way road, so we could pass by the bike lane on the side which was large enough for our RV and wasn't affected by the barrier (see 3rd video). To summarize: in the space of a mere 5 minutes after calling them, the police had arrived, the guy in charge of fixing the barrier was on-site, and we were safely escorted back on the road. Problem identified, accountability assigned, solution executed. Five minutes.
