During the press conference, Donald Tusk added that he needs to be 100% certain that "all our allies will treat this in exactly the same way as we do," which is why Poland is in constant consultation with them. Polish PM also emphasized that caution should be exercised in situations that are not entirely clear. "When we face situations that aren't entirely clear, for example, the recent flight of Russian fighter jets over the Petrobaltic platform - but without a violation because those are not our territorial waters - you really must think twice before deciding on actions that could already trigger a very sharp phase of the conflict," Tusk said.

I have consistently stood on Ukraine’s side in its war with Russia, and truly nobody will convince me that it should be otherwise, because it is in Poland’s interest. It is Ukraine’s role and responsibility to respect its allies, especially allies as active and as indispensable as Poland, and to take into account mutual respect and sensitivities.
