they built a modular robotics platform that can transform into 5 different robots a biped, quadruped, wheeled robot, or a 7dof robotic arm, all powered by the same actuators this means researchers can train entirely different robotic capabilities for under $6k USD

LimX TRON 2 can easily walk while carrying a 30kg tire. Don't be surprised if, in the future, it is used for rescue operations or outdoor transport tasks… This is a modular robot platform capable of transforming into a biped, a quadruped, or a centaur humanoid robot.

This is Clone Robotics realistic humanoid robotic arm, designed to closely mimic the movement and anatomy of a human arm. It is powered by electricity and a water-based hydraulic system using a compact pump about the size of a human heart. Despite weighing only 1 kilogram, the robotic arm can lift a 7-kilogram dumbbell.

The Maintenance Battalion of the Logistics Support Regiment, 11th Infantry Division of the Royal Thai Army, conducted a demonstration of a tactical military robotic “robot dog.” The platform closely resembles the “robot wolf” systems showcased by China during the September 3 military parade, though the version demonstrated by the Thai Army is most likely a commercially available (civilian-grade) quadruped robotic platform, rather than a purpose-built military model.

In December 2025, Pudu Robotics unveiled the D5 Series, a rugged quadruped robot that can jump, run, and even perform backflips. It features IP67 protection, dual-spectrum sensing, gesture control, and all-terrain mobility for real-world outdoor tasks. The robot also includes a delivery module that can transport packages across rough ground, crowded streets, and places where normal wheeled robots struggle.

This robot can draw building layout plans directly on the floor. A Silicon Valley startup, Dusty Robotics, created this robotic printer that prints full-size plans from digital models. It can print different line styles and labels, working up to 10 times faster than humans.

The quadruped you can assemble yourself. Stella is an educational quadruped robot developed by Ahead. Designed for hands-on learning and self-assembly, the robot uses durable 3D-printed components. Ideal for all education levels, it is easy to repair, infinitely extendable, and equipped with advanced hardware and software. Despite its compact design, Stella is versatile, capable of operating in various environments and even carrying payloads like an optional robotic arm. A powerful tool for exploring robotics.
