They Love America

This is what I wish Americans that have never lived somewhere outside the US for prolonged periods would understand. We have it so fucking good in this country, yet politics have tainted everyone’s eyes that we are a shitty country. There is so much to do and easily accessible.

Englishman here. This guy is correct. I am older than him. I’ve been lucky to travel the world, 60 odd countries etc, but the US is still my favourite. I’ve been to all 50 states but still get the same excitement as when I first arrived at JFK in 1994. It’s a phenomenal country. So pleased to see the World Cup is showcasing it at its best.

Americans have loved the guests from each Nation being so incredibly gracious and sharing their joy at being FREE. Freedom Not only rings, it’s screaming through the world, like our Eagles, soaring in the wind drafts…America is a majestically beautiful patch of Earth, and Americans love it, as we have loved hosting FIFA guests.

So pleased that you’ve been able to experience our gorgeous country. You’ve made my day sharing. Thank you!

Has America unintentionally become the catalyst allowing every nation to bond on a deeper level? I can’t help but feel something wonderful transpiring and a unity denied to humanity for too long.

I love the way you explained this! As an American I am really enjoying seeing people from all over the world having a good time and experiencing our country and people apart from whatever they have seen in the media. We are genuinely so excited to have everyone over for a visit! 🤗

From what I’ve heard, the European media doesn’t have a lot of nice things to say about America and it’s colored the opinion of the European people in a negative way. So as an American, getting to see them experience real America, the places, the people, the culture has been wonderful!

Americans are loving it too because it’s helping to remind us that our Freedom is absolutely worth fighting for and thanks to the brave men and women that have given their lives for us to be free! 🇺🇸

... and you'll notice while all of these fans are "taking" over our cities and attractions, Americans are not even the least bit fazed by it. We expect it, we enjoy it, and we support it. Americans are extremely generous.

It’s a shame because Europe is beautiful, but I believe the mindset is that Europe is a cross between a museum and an open air prison. I feel for Europeans, I really do. I wish they get their freedom back.

I like the fact that people from other countries are coming here and realizing that they’ve been lied to, and Americans are not what they were told to believe and not what they were taught to believe about America ! They just left out all the good things about Americans and American values the American way of life ! This is why Americans are as like European say they’re not well traveled. That’s because we DON’T need to leave the states. We have everything here at home. We have the mountains. We have the oceans. We have the beaches we have every season. We celebrate every holiday like nowhere else on earth. One thing for sure there’s been a lot of love during this World Cup A lot of people from different countries coming together and are starting to understand why Americans love their country and will do everything and anything to protect it! Because it’s not LA, Las Vegas, New York or Chicago- these places- are the real America- the heartland. The South and West are the heart of the US- sorry but true. Not niche- the heartland- the resources- the workers. The goods, the workers, resources- this is it- the ones that NY ers and La ers disdain.

He’s articulated the answer to “Americans have no culture.” The most misrepresented statement abroad is that, and he just answered it. Additionally, you “can have it all”. That’s the beauty of this country. It truly is your oyster, and it’s fucking beautiful if that’s for you.

Since only a handful of stadiums have been used for FIFA in the U.S. that I think it should be hosted here more often. Anywhere else, it'll be a let down from here on out. America is vast.

@colleen6124 Well yea. We actually have freedom. In Europe they can’t say whatever they want without being arrested and can’t own guns aside from neutered nonsense with dozens of legal obstacles.

Another thing I absolutely love is that so many of you are getting to see what we call flyover country here in America. Now I live in flyover country. I prefer flyover country. But they call it that for a reason. Often visitors only see a big city. I grew up in Florida and people in the United States often think of Florida as Disney world. And I grew up in a part of Florida that was like cows and watermelons and peanuts. Even just one stay will have a huge variety of areas.

I’ve watched dozens of these video and what I don’t understand is why are people just learning this now? It’s not like they didn’t have the means to travel to the US.

No one hates americans, they hate our goverment. If only they knew, we hate them too.

The TIMING and LOCATION of this sport event is GENIUS! I think President Trump knows that every day men and women from around the world NEEDED to experience American life. THIS is what the people need. People the world over NEED the TRUTH. And what perfect timing for it!

I was traveling on a night bus in Guatemala years ago and I overheard a young English traveler talking to his mate. He asked him if he’d been to the U.S. His friend answered “no” and he replied, “It’s mad, man”. That always stuck with me. I realized then how others may see us.

We listen to these people call us pieces of shit our entire lives. I lived in England and Germany is an adolescent and they were shitty to us there too. We were always polite and kind, but they never were kind in return. Hearing all this from Europeans sits funny. The amount of propaganda that must’ve been added to them over my lifetime.
