Itโ€™s a myth that weโ€™re not well travelled, we have a huge population, and only border 2 huge countries. Iโ€™ve lived in 8 states and visited 28 and visited 19 countries. I know many others with similar experience. We are SO happy everyone who came here did! Itโ€™s life changing enrichment for all of us! Weโ€™d never dream of judging anyone by where theyโ€™d been before.

But the fact is over half of Americans have a passport. Far more Americans have passports than the French or the Japanese. Itโ€™s just a stereotype.

America (United States) is like Europe and its states are like countries. So yes, we can go from state to state without a passport. Each state is different from each other in a way.

We can encounter world cultures inside the USA. Want to go to the upper class Somalia? Minneapolis Minnesota. Middle lower class Somalia? Rochester Minnesota. Haiti? Springfield Ohio. China? Every state has a cultural representative area. Indonesia? Sandwich Illinois. Vietnam? Des Moines, Iowa. Do you want to meet stateless cultures that have been removed from their home nation due to war? Canโ€™t find them where they came from but you can find them here. Texas has areas dedicated to populations destroyed by the Soviet Union, and various ww1 and ww2 destruction of minor people groups. You can find more about Poland in Pennsylvania. Northern and western Minnesota is a beautiful cultural center for the Norwegian and other Nordic minor cultures that were persecuted due to religious upheaval in the 1880s. The USA is a museum of history the rest of the world has chosen to destroy and forget. We are a diy world heritage site. We have a lot of ugly history but what we are hate for most is remembering everyone elseโ€™s genocidal and revisionist history.

I HAVE been outside America. As a young man, I travelled all across Europe on business. From 1993 through 1998. 30 cities across Europe. 5 years in a row. 150 cities and towns. Many beautiful and historic places. Most of them in the West, some in the former Soviet East Bloc. I always appreciated the experiences and the people. But when I returned home, after comparison with the freedom we have here? The things we take for granted? I was ready to kiss the freaking ground at the airport. Every. Single. Time. People who have not traveled outside our borders just simply do not understand.

My AC is set at 78-80. Itโ€™s really basically to get rid of the humidity in the house. I grew up in Florida with no AC - none - and 95% humidity. And somehow, we lived.

No. We canโ€™t . I have been to 42 US states and 16 European countries. Travel is WAY more than what you โ€œseeโ€. When you travel in the US , you only experience Americans. People with unrivalled entitlement, who often havenโ€™t been to a museum, who have min. Education

Yes itโ€™s true itโ€™ll take my entire lifetime to really visit all 50 states. Statistically many of us donโ€™t have passports but itโ€™s expensive to travel overseas. Iโ€™ve had the privilege of visiting South America, Hawaii, and mainland USA. Would love to see Europe but no Time Machine

This is a creator called Josh from England. He and his buddy Jace have been traveling to America for a few years now and they do videos on all different parts of the country, the culture, the people. They absolutely love America. Their content is awesome! Theyโ€™re on YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook.

I find it fascinating when I hear people say the US doesn't a culture, especially first generation. Anyone can see that within the 50 states, you can find nuances even between cities and each state. "United we stand, divided we fall" used to mean something.

It depends on the American. Most people don't travel at all and don't even leave their own state. Those with the means to travel abroad are often scared because of the propaganda and indoctrination, so Florida or Disney becomes their go to.

Although I agree with him I do enjoy traveling abroad. I lived in Spain as a kid but now I keep my travels to Mexico, the Carribean, and South America. I would like to go back to Italy as an adult and to England, Ireland, and Scotland; where my grandparents are from.

Truth. Iโ€™ve never had to leave the states (willingly - I did with the military) and never had a strong enough desire to because of what he said. Beaches, check, forests, check, arid, check, humid, check, desert, tundra, rainy, sunny, we have everything. That said I still would like to visit Europe someday. Only when the stars line up.

The entire US has only one language. So you donโ€™t really get cultured by visiting different versions of the same place.
