Schatz: We don’t even have to talk about climate action. We can just say wind is cheap, solar is cheap. They’re stopping wind and solar because this guy has some very strange ideas about the energy mix. And it’s consistent with the rest of his political and economic philosophy — if there’s less of everything, it gives him more authority to dole out favors and have people come to him for indulgences from the king.

Britain is an island. We have access to lots of wind and waves. It’s common sense to use wind - together with solar power (and waves if we can develop the technology) - in a push for energy independence.

One is sustainable energy generation, which is primarily wind and solar. There's also hydro, geothermal. I'm actually pro-nuclear. I think nuclear is fine. But it's going to be primarily solar and wind as the primary generators of energy. The second part is you need batteries to store the solar and wind energy, because the sun doesn't shine all the time, the wind doesn't blow all the time. So it's a lot of stationary battery packs. And then you need electric transport. So electric cars, electric planes, boats. And ultimately we can have a fully sustainable energy economy. And it's those three things: solar/wind, stationary battery pack, electric vehicles. So then what are the limiting factors on progress? The limiting factor really will be battery cell production. HE’S LYING Notwithstanding solar and wind are not "clean energy", it’s an outright lie to claim there is a "global shift to clean energy". The data is clear - there is no "global shift" Globally the world is using more coal, more gas, more oil and more nuclear. It’s also using more solar and more wind and more of everything else - but globally solar and wind are not REPLACING fossil fuels - they are merely ADDITIONAL. Further, Australia is the only nation in world attempting to replace its fossil fuels with prominently intermittent weather dependent sources of energy - solar and wind. No other nation is doing it, because it’s uneconomic and will only impoverish a nation if foolishly attempted. Blackout Bowen’s lies must be called out, because they are going to destroy Australia.
