Reseting the ECU doesn't always fix the problem by unplugging the battery. Finding the code to see what is wrong is the better solution....they do it for free in some auto supply stores

Battery unplug can go wrong. Some cars require dealer reprogramming. Some are very sensitive because of bad electronics. intake air sensors are different and some CANNOT be cleaned like that and end up breaking. Why guess it's the air intake sensor? Test it before you break it
