Friendly request ... third grade proficiency is not the goal ... Reading begins with the love of books ... I love the video and appreciate the sentiment BTW but I worry about the rhetoric around reading

- and we hear of inspectors saying that there should ONLY be phonically decodable books in reception/Y1 classrooms. The love of books is a great precursor to learning to be a proficient reader.

🚨 High School Students from North Bergen NJ, Cliffside Park NJ, and West New York NJ all took to the STREETS to protest ICE. I have been trying to AVOID making FUN of Teenagers on this profile. We ALL were IDIOTS in High School, myself included. But all I can say is this, ONLY IN AMERICA could your UNCLE break into the Country ILLEGALLY, and you STILL have the right to SKIP SCHOOL because of it. Also, see BELOW 👇 for All 3 of these Schools TEST SCORES and YOU be the judge. North Bergen High School — North Bergen, NJ • Grades: 9–12 • Enrollment: ~2,384 students • Math Proficiency: ~11% (well below NJ average ~38%) • Reading/ELA Proficiency: ~28% (below NJ average ~49%) • Science Proficiency: ~12% • Graduation Rate (4-yr): ~80% (below state average) • Overall Testing Rank: Bottom ~50% of NJ high schools Cliffside Park High School — Cliffside Park, NJ • Grades: 9–12 • Enrollment: ~1,283 students • Math Proficiency: ~15% (below NJ average ~38%) • Reading/ELA Proficiency: ~32% (below NJ average ~49%) • Science Proficiency: ~20% • Graduation Rate (4-yr): ~87% (slightly above or near NJ average) • Overall Testing Rank: Bottom ~50% of NJ high schools Memorial High School — West New York, NJ • Grades: 9–12 • Enrollment: ~2,300 students • Math Proficiency: ~12% (below NJ average ~38%) • Reading/ELA Proficiency: ~34% (below NJ average ~49%) • Science Proficiency: ~8% • Graduation Rate (4-yr): ~83% (below state average) • Overall Testing Rank: Bottom ~50% of NJ high schools What a Country. 🇺🇸 Video from NewJerseyShade
