@Drive_Protected For probably less money they you could do an engine swap in most cars.

@Drive_Protected 381069X $1 per mile per ride share 381,069 over 7 years revenue on a car that costed what? $35-$40 k? That is $54400 per year. That is printing money

@Drive_Protected Who’s doing it? Did it need it? What is going to be the new mileage comparison?

If we assume the battery is say, 75kWh, back when the Nissan leaf came out in 2010 a battery that capacity would have cost nearly $115,000 dollars! Just for the battery. I think this one is $15,000. Insane cost reduction. Of course the old battery is probably on about 75% capacity so can either be recycled (lithium is an element so can be 100% extracted and used again), or can go into grid storage for the next 20 years or so. Nothing else can compete with this, nothing comes close.

@Drive_Protected @grok will these LFP batteries be available to all teslas as a swap? They seem to hold their capacity much better than old batteries.

@Drive_Protected Does anyone know if they are doing LFP for model Y when they kick the bucket like this? Or are they just doing th refinished packs…

I'd say this is done to create content, which is fine. Because the math doesn't add up... what's a M3 with 680000 kms and 70% battery worth ? vs a M3 with 680000 kms and a new battery? Nowhere near the difference to justify the new battery. The "cost of ownership" is still fantastic though...

@Drive_Protected Almost 400k miles! What a beast
@Drive_Protected Any idea of the cost of this service?

@Drive_Protected First of all batteries die of age most of the time, not milage. Second, how much is a swap and who's doing it?

@Drive_Protected The battery seems very strong

@Drive_Protected Didn’t need a battery swap or are you just doing it? What’s it costing?

@Drive_Protected how often do you guys make tire rotation. By the book says every 10.000 kms. but i took it to tesla and they said it was not necessary…

@Drive_Protected Is this even worth it financially? What would something like this usually cost @grok

@Drive_Protected How much?

@Drive_Protected @grok combien coûte de faire changer une batterie de tesla

@Drive_Protected but who else offers a self driving vehicle….. 🧐🇺🇸

@Drive_Protected For anyone else who was thinking it

@Drive_Protected Why?

@Drive_Protected Why don’t you tell us how much you paid for it?

@Drive_Protected Would be nice to have more details, what exactly happened, did the car died on side of road ? What was the degradation , is the battery fixable ? What actually happened to the battery ?

@Drive_Protected How much is that?

Yikes!!! Tesla Service Center (official): Often $11,000–$18,000 installed for Model 3 packs (remanufactured or new). LFP options (common for Standard Range/RWD models) may be on the lower end or similar to other chemistries in some quotes, with reports of ~$12k–$20k depending on the pack. Labor, taxes, and parts add to the total. Some owners report remanufactured LFP/CATL packs around $11k–$13k. red

@Drive_Protected How much $

@Drive_Protected Don’t batteries cost like 20k??

@Drive_Protected Model 3 Standard인가요? lfp배터리 교체로 가능한 건가요? 배터리 교체 비용은 얼마인가요?

@Drive_Protected @grok how much is a battery swap and how much the car is worth before and after the repair?

@Drive_Protected And how much this surgery ?

@Drive_Protected Why would you bother? The new battery is worth more than the car.

@Drive_Protected One in million

@Drive_Protected that is a lot of miles boy

@Drive_Protected A Nio can swap batteries in 2.5 minutes autonomously and they’ve already had their first customer with a million miles on their car… Nio is a global brand with 110 million swaps completed successfully #nio @NIOGlobal

@Drive_Protected How much it cost?

@Drive_Protected 381k miles on the original battery is wild. Shows how far EV durability has come. Curious to see how it runs after the LFP swap.
