This 20-min presentation, "Code as a Medium for Storytelling", is an encapsulation of all my recent thinking on vibe coding as a non-technical person I also showcase 5 projects I built (all of which were viral on X), and 7 lessons on effectively working with coding agents

The slides in the presentation were made using frontend-slides, a Claude Skill I built that makes beautiful HTML slides through code

The framing flip from "code as tool" to "code as medium" is exactly what non-technical builders need to hear. Most people treating AI like faster StackOverflow when the real unlock is using it to prototype ideas you could never build solo.

The "code as storytelling" framing is fire. Most vibe coders treat AI like a faster StackOverflow when the real unlock is using it to explore ideas you couldn't prototype solo.

That's a great presentation!! I am also a BA student and from a non technical background like you I have no idea how to code and I still don't understand where to start learning as a beginner.. ^^

Thank you for sharing this. This is an absolutely fantastic way to get non-technical people to wrap their mind around how amazing this technology is that we have access to.

Code as storytelling is a really nice way to think about it.

code as a medium for storytelling is a framing shift that matters. non-technical people building viral interactive projects changes what counts as creative work. 5 viral builds in one presentation is a strong proof of concept

Nice one and I like the take on using code tow improve our lives. I usually ask to walk me through the code which is usually markdown but now going to try your method as it is more fun and easier to retain. Great presentation and thank you for sharing your projects & experience.

Really inspiring stuff - I just started using Claude code less than a month ago and feel like I have a lot to learn - but seeing what’s possible makes me incredibly excited to push the ceiling further and further

Zara! Thanks for posting this. Great presentation and inspiring ideas. Feel like I’ve been a closet coder for the past few months, and love the inspiration! Appreciate your content!

I love this. Even if AI takes all the jobs, tools like Claude code will still be completely new ways for people to express themselves

很勇敢的姑娘。代码作为讲故事的媒介,工作也可以作为讲故事的媒介,万事万物皆可作为讲故事的媒介,关键是要勇气。

ngl "code as a medium for storytelling" is a wild reframe. most technical ppl dont think about it like that but the non-technical founders who get this are gonna build stuff devs would never think of

the framing of code as a storytelling medium is the most important insight in this whole presentation. most people think of vibe coding as "faster software development" but what you are actually doing is using code as a creative canvas the same way a filmmaker uses a camera or a writer uses prose. the 5 viral projects prove the point because they went viral not because of technical complexity but because they told compelling stories through interactive experiences. a designer I know in London started using Claude Code specifically to build interactive data visualizations for journalism and she said the shift from static charts to explorable narratives changed how her readers engage with stories completely. the 7 lessons are practical gold too, especially for non-technical creators who assume they need to learn programming first when the real skill is learning to communicate intent clearly

I relate with this hard. Most days when I want to learn something new I ask an ai agent to create an html file to help me understand concepts, output is dynamic and beautiful. I am curating examples with AI treating html as the book of the future :
