On today's NBA Today they talked about Peterson not working out for the Jazz and Ramona Shelburne shared her thoughts: "I don't think it's as big a deal as you might think. He met with the Jazz at the combine, they had a good conversation and interview, they looked at his medicals, everybody feels okay about that. I think this is more a statement from Darryn Peterson saying, 'I want to go number one. That's my goal.'... But I think he doesn't get past the Jazz at two regardless of whether he goes there (to workout) or not... It's not a statement against the Jazz, it's more a statement that I want to go number one."

Then came the moment that stole the show: Peterson’s Biblical warning about tyranny. He told the story of Moses. A man transformed by a divine encounter. A leader who stood up to Pharaoh, liberated the slaves, and led them through chaos. But right at the edge of victory, he made one mistake. “He uses force once when God tells him to use invitation,” Peterson said. That one act—striking the rock—was enough for God to take everything from him, he explained. “He’s dead. So is his brother Aaron. That’s his political arm. And he doesn’t enter the Promised Land.” In contrast, Peterson said, Christ rejects power completely. One of the three temptations in the desert is the temptation to seize power, and Christ walks away from it. Peterson then dropped a striking line: “You can tell the tyrants—they use fear and compulsion. And they don’t use invitation.” “Imagine it’s the distinguishing characteristic between the wannabe tyrants and the true leaders. The true leaders say, ‘Here’s an offer. Would you accept this of your own free will?’” Peterson explained. “And the tyrants say, ‘The apocalypse is coming, and we are allowed to do everything to forestall it,’” Peterson warned—“Including control you and everything that you do.” That’s how fear gets weaponized. That’s how people fall in line, Peterson concluded. “There’s always an apocalypse of one form or another looming. The question is, what do you do about it?”

In my career, KAT has been the only player that has always been on the team. It’s going to be very odd to cover a Wolves team that he’s not a part of. We’ll dive into the trade plenty — still wrapping my head around it. But for now, want to say I’m grateful for the respect he always treated me with — not a given in this industry, especially as independent media. I hope that this day of yours will also be filled with love and I hope that my feelings can reach all of you just as I feel them. Um ... This time because of my schedule and also due to health reasons I wasn't able to prepare a song. For the next fan meeting I will definitely prepare one. And thank you so, so much. Many people often say that this place feels like a second homeand for me as well being able to come and meet all of you has always been such a warm and happy experience. Whether it was going for that run, hearing everyone's laughter or hearing your applause as we meet like this at a fan meeting ... all of these things have become the greatest meaning in my life as an actor. I deal with a lot of people who say this isn't reality. We show receipts and have given a backdrop. To say my perception isn't real and your reality is the only one is ignorant.
