Follow up: Yes, I know this is normal under certain circumstances Most of those circumstances do not apply to my situation This, combined with other evidence of excessive rust on the brakes, led me to post this

That is completely normal if you live where they salt roads and you dont use brake often (one foot driving)

Crazy rust for being garage kept. I’ve only seen this kinda rust when I’ve let a car sit for a few weeks in the winter. Perhaps you just haven’t used your brakes in a while? I try to use my brakes daily even though most braking is regen to keep the rotors clean

I do appreciate 1 pedal driving but I do use the brakes as well. Like I said, this wouldn't even hit my radar at 2 weeks in the winter but 2 days in the garage?

Normal. You live in cold wet conditions. Aound like you don’t drive much. It literally sits after you drive and oxidizes over time. Drive 3 miles every few days to keep it clear

Not trolling, I've seen plenty of rusty rotors but this was parked dry and only sat for less than 3 days.

To park a dry car for 2 days in a garage and come out to rust covered rotors? I have 2 other Teslas that don't do this and one of them gets parked outside for long periods of time.

Today is the first time that Tesla FSD pulled all the way into my garage when I got home. Seems like an occasion to pick up a share or two. It's pulled into the driveway and parked before, but never into the garage. Part of me wonders if it decided to do this because it "learned" that's where I park. Over the weekend there were a few times that I engaged FSD directly from the garage without pulling out manually.

How many of us do this? The snow blower is in the garage and the car is in the driveway! When you open the garage door and see this, do you: 1/look to see if the leaf blower is in the garage too? 2/rev up the snowblower and try not to take out your front tires OR 3/Just close the door and wait til spring? 😅

This woman’s garage broke, and it’s just her and her kid, unfortunately she doesn’t have anyone else around that can help her. She results to a drastic measure in order to get her suv out of the garage, she will hold the garage door open while her 9 year old drives her suv and backs it out of the garage. Do you feel she could have remedied the situation another way other than allowing her 9 year old to drive or was this the only was at 6 in the morning?

FWIW - I was in the parking garage trying to leave Dickson Street with my friends last night. There were 100% shots fired near West End. Probably 5 or 6 rounds. You can hear the first one at the end of this video. Don’t think it came from the garage, I was in the garage.
