Looks very cool; also looks nothing like chrono trigger. It was very clearly more inspired by octopath traveler.

It honestly looks really nice, but let’s not exaggerate and call it the second coming of chrono trigger. While it does have JRPG influences, it still feels too held back by modern western-isms (like the nose ring) that disqualify it from being in the same league.

Every time I hear the phrase “Second coming of Chrono Trigger” or some derivative thereof I know it’s about to be the most mediocre shit I’ve ever seen.

Saying something is "just like" or a "love letter" to Chrono Trigger immediately makes me lose interest. Every lame retro style jrpg says that and every time it's meaningless and performative.

no, i would not compare it to chrono trigger, its well made tho, but it has this modern tropes that cant replace the squaresoft game. They can stay on their side of the fence

Yeah I'm not a fan of "Live 2D" at all, it's a weird clash the more I look at it. And none of the designs of the characters in that game looks appealing, it's all that ugly androgynous art style.

Sorry, but no matter how good this games is, it and no other will ever be a second coming os Chrono Trigger. There is a bunch of things that happened that made CT being CT besides an amazing game

Nah, don’t ever compare it to Chrono Trigger. Else it will end up like Sea of Stars - pretty but gameplay and storyline being a massive disappointment
