I’ve been de-teching myself for several months now. I buy less, bake my own bread, make my own cheeses, grow my own vegetables. Neighbors are following my lead. I keep talking about Ghandi and how he sat the entire nation of India down and refused to play the British game. It took sacrifices, some died, others were badly injured, yet the common thread was absolute intention and ansolute non participation. They engaged freely in doing things banned by the Brits, including making salt. So one of the things Ghandi and a large group did was go to the ocean and made salt. Ghandi had more followers and committed citizens than all Brits, including the police in all of India. It starts with a committed few and quickly grows exponentially. Yes, we can do the same and we best start yesterday.
