This is absolutely beautiful

Recorded from The Irresponsible Captain Tylor (1993)

Irresponsible Captain Taylor. One of the most underrated old school anime. The intro is goated too.

Retro Anime choice of today anime is on fire !!! Anime title is The Irresponsible Captain Tylor 無責任艦長タイラー - Musekinin Kanchō Tairā WoD : Tylor stumbles his way into the United Planets Space Force and soon gains command of a destroyer after resolving a hostage dispute and saving a retired admiral.

This is how it feels to be drunk on holiday

This is the OPM of space anime- yet the animation style went all in like they weren't making a goofy af show and were making the next City Hunter or Bubblegum Crisis Love ICT, watching this, Slayers, Ranma, Lupin 3rd, Dirty Pair- peak old school comedies

Anime used to be art. Not so much today, but there are still gems like Frieren.

Older anime has that vibe to it

Check it out

Awesome. Thanks for sharing

An excellent show. Strong recommend to anyone who hasn't had the pleasure

Oh wow just off the thumbnail I thought it was gonna be a clip of Interstella 5555.

I love how they think ahead of their time

What’s the name of this gem?

Nostalgic

And we'll never get it back...

yes yes yes

Tylor gave us some of the last gasps of '80s animation quality before the bubble was well and truly over.

There’s something timeless about this, every frame just breathes warmth and intention. Moments like this remind me why I fell in love with anime in the first place ✨

I'm a fan of many of modern anime's stories, but the style and aesthetic just doesn't compare...

Man I missed the good old classic anime🥲

It just sucks how animation has fallen and how people feel like they need to use gen ai “to make good art.”

The golden age of enemy

Very

Fantastic ✨👏

Could this anime space adventure have inspired the lyrics for this song, created by an anime space adventure loving music duo?

imo this style anime will always be the best

I wish I had the talent to do things like these

oh! 3x3 eyes!
