“This is actually what the future will look like.” No. Here’s a simple experiment… If real would you wear these lenses now? You’d try them on for the novelty of it, but not wear them day to day bc you don’t actually want your field of view obstructed by fake kitties.

I had a terrible vision about this once. All sorts of people running around seeing AR in their surroundings. The people not using the AR just see the entire world as nothing but buildings and streets covered in black and white QR and bar codes, with absolutely no color or life unless you pay up.

Unpopular opinion: AR glasses will fail because it's just too uncomfortable to wear and most people want real world experience. The technology has been here so long, not going anywhere

Company after company that pushes vr glasses fail. Glasses are a hassle to wear and theres the stigma that they make you look like a loser dork. Maybe vr contact lenses or even implants via minimally invasive surgery is the key.
