This is cool technology — but sometimes there is an elegance in simplicity. There’s nothing I liked more than the green screen. Simple. Consistent. Best graphic quality. Also nobody has to step on Missouri or kick Kentucky.

Sometimes viewers don’t about what’s flashy or what “pops.” Rob is talented and an exemplary communicator — but the viewer might be less distracted if it was just him with maps.

Imagine not getting a Skytech PC. Skill issue 🙄💅🏽

No labels, everything too zoomed out, contours laid over geographical boundaries so you can't even see where things are happening.... I'm sorry but this weather rollout has not been good. It doesn't serve the audience well whatsoever. It's sad because it has a lot of potential.

100%. I also hate the gimmick of imaginary monitors popping out of the floor. Like… we’re using AR to simulate… a monitor? That I have to squint to see?

There is nothing lamer than a "virtual" studio. They look terrible. Everyone can tell that they are fake, even though they may not be able to articulate why. Using them subliminally suggests to the viewer that everything presented is "fake". Stop undermining yourselves and build a damn set.

Agreed. I like chroma for weather maps but I don’t like pretend walls and windows.

I really like them utilizing everything in the 3D space except the floor. The floor can have graphics but the map is awkward.

Having the graphic on the floor was definitely a…choice

But it's now a full body effort!

I agree! Stepping on states seems disrespectful for some reason. Just like we shouldn’t step on the flag, we shouldn’t step on a representation of America. They’re doing too much.
