We attended Mayor Katie B. Wilson State of the City address today. Everyone was seated in the live auditorium with or without reservations but We Heart Seattle was told we had to sit in the overflow room with no rhyme or reason. Not one other person or group was isolated and treated this way. Eventually after some push back by our team, a “superior” came and got us and we were directed to the back row, if only we promised to “not disrupt”. We have never disrupted a public event. This is not who we are. Very strange. Otherwise my take is that Wilson failed to address the service resistant drug addicted population and didn’t bring up the drug crisis a single time.

Over the weekend, the family of Marissa Flores watched my coverage of We Heart Seattle doing outreach at a drug encampment in the city. After contacting me for a location, Flores' family immediately jumped in the car, started a search, and miraculously found her in a tent. She's now in detox and back home with her kids. The politicians, academics, and activists keep saying this is primarily being fueled by an affordable housing crisis. Flores' family says don't listen to them. #BREAKING: After weeks of searching, missing homeless woman Kaylee Gordon has been found! Saturday evening, Kristine Moreland(Kristine) and her volunteers with homeless outreach group "The More We Love," found Gordon at the corner of 3rd Ave & Pike St. in downtown Seattle. As expected, it was an extremely difficult encounter. Gordon did not want to leave on her own. She assaulted me and street preacher Matthew Meinecke when we tried to help. But this was a blessing in disguise. The attack is what ultimately allowed Seattle Police to take her into custody and get her treatment at the hospital. We need more amazing officers like this! The race is now on for Gordon's family to get her out of Seattle and back home to Wyoming. She needs to get away from all the temptations and sketchy characters who are dragging her down. Props to We Deliver Care(WDC) worker Derwayne Trahan for pitching in to help as well. I know there are hundreds of other families out there who are still looking for their loved ones on the streets. It is possible to save them with the right interventions and volunteers who care. Once again, this is not an affordable housing issue. Broken relationships, mental illness, and drug addictions are fueling this crisis. Failed public policies to address these issues are making things worse. Stop this insanity. SAWANT DESTROYED: Before Tuesday evening's Seattle council drug vote, self proclaimed socialist councilmember Kshama Sawant(Kshama Sawant) went on her usual cop hating, blame the billionaires, class warfare monologue. But after she evoked her version of the black experience in America to further her agenda, local entrepreneur Michael Asai(Emerald City Collective (Gardens)) had enough. He got up and blasted Sawant saying, "Stop doing your blackface for the white agenda." Asai went on to say, "Vote for this bill and clean up this damn city." Asai is simply saying what everyone is thinking. The FAR-LEFT/ Commie/Marxists in Seattle are majority white and do not care at all about the interests of the black community or minorities.
