Once again, I'm asking @Oculus_Dev to allow Quest devs to use the cameras. This could be so much better if it was possible.

Love it. This *still* feels to me like low hanging fruit :) Instead of timers I want like a flexible gantt chart of dependencies. I want to be prompted when to check each pan and what to look for. I want it to “know” which pan is which, and where my fridge, cutting board, knives are etc. I want a packing algo for mis en place. I want equipment inventory/cleaning/organizing/sanitizing integrated so cleaning/prep/cooking are scheduled for multitasking. I want measurements/weights, macronutrients and micronutrients integrated. I want feedback mechanisms and logging to improve on the next meal, even coaching on technique or surfacing technique videos. I want food and spice inventory and expiry management. I want meal planning, scheduling, and refrigerator/freezer management. I want michelin star excellence guiding my planning, prep, and execution. (I love cooking. To cook a significant meal or meal prep I want to not have to think. Prosthetize/remove all executive functioning from the task so I can zone out into a podcast/music/TV)

It looks like the biggest use case for MR right now is simply hands-free computing. Whenever your hands are too dirty to use your phone, an MR headset can be your replacement tool.

Does the quest let you take a picture through the camera (of the fridge)? So much potential with vision models that Vision Pro can’t do

It seems so much easier to just use your phone for the same purpose. Also from my experience AI does not understand food recipes. I've tried asking ChatGPT for recipes with whatever I have in the fridge and it always come up with something that doesn't make sense as a meal.

Honestly that looks super neat! I would want to try it and see if setting it up winds up being a lot of extra work or if it's pretty easy to start it up and get to cooking
