this is hands down the best cardcaptor sakura opening

I always feel like I enter bizarro world because I never see people praise this OP enough. Not that the other Cardcaptor Sakura OPs are remotely bad but this one's so fucking good, actually a top-tier magical girl OP in general.

Because it's composed by Yoko Kanno and performed by Maaya Sakamoto.

I have to tell you this, it gets very emotional when the song plays at the final episode of the original series (watch it so you’ll know what I mean) And you can also hear the melody bit of the song in the first episode of Clear Card

I'd fallen out of love with the show by this point but can't deny it's better than OP1, which is strong competition

Yes! Platinum is beautiful. Maaya's hopeful voice and the melody that evokes nostalgia make for a unique combination. A timeless song.
